BOOK FAIR 2016 and World Book Day.
We all enjoyed visiting the Book Fair in school. There were lots
of new books to choose from for all ages. A few children were
surprised by their parents who had been and bought them
their favourite book!
Everyone brought in their own book from home to share with
the rest of their class. During the day children also had lots of fun activities to do.
At the end of the week we all had to dress up as our favourite book characters.
Teachers and children all enjoyed doing this. Even Mr. Whelan dressed up as an
Umpa lumpa from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. His face was very orange!
E Safety - Be SAFE!!!
Keeping safe while using the computer and the internet.
When people are on the internet they talk to random people
without noticing. It can be someone who isn't very nice and they
may abuse this by sending pictures or mean messages to you.
A few tips to keep you safe 
Flag it — means tell someone older about the situation so they can help.

Block it — means block the message or picture.

Zip it — means ignore the person who sends you mean messages or pictures.
Easter
Easter is a time of celebration. We celebrate it because Jesus died on the cross and rose
again. He died on the cross as a symbol for us to forgive our sins and help us be better
people.
Easter is also about new beginnings and new life. We hope you have all seen our very
cute chickens which were hatched in school. This represents new life.
We will be on holiday for 2 weeks and hopefully all of us will be getting lots of Easter
eggs.

KS2 Easter Celebration.
We decorated eggs in lots of different ways.
They were amazing, as you can see from some of the pictures. We also sang ‘Spring Chicken’it was hilarious! Three people got cream eggs for doing the best chicken impressions.
All participants got cream eggs at the end.
KS1 Easter Bonnet Parade.
KS1 and Early Years made their own Easter Bonnets for a special Easter Bonnet Parade.
They sang lots of different Easter songs and had lots of fun looking at the different bonnets.
Lots of Easter activities took place including making Easter cards to take home.
Happy Easter from all of us!
