Faith &Service Did you know that the following Campus Ministry & Volunteer Programs are available on our campus? DAILY MASS PRAISE & WORSHIP BANDS RETREATS Whatever your faith, we hope you’ll worship with us! Our Main Chapel and the Chapel of the Nativity are open daily for personal meditation and regularly scheduled services. Praise bands come to campus several times a semester to offer nights of worship through music and accompany our choirs during Mass. Need a peaceful time to reflect? Our Campus Ministry leadership teams sponsor retreats with different themes all year round. BREADS AND SPREADS COR TEAM/PEER MINISTRY Come and share “breads and spreads” and meet new people while discussing the exciting topics of religion, faith and society. The Campus Ministry COR team is a peer ministry group dedicated to mentoring other students and participation in outreach programs. KNIT WITS COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS/ CURTIS WEEK FAITH SHARING COMMUNITIES In faith sharing, there are no wrong or right answers and there are no experts. Come read, reflect, share and pray together. SUNDAY LITURGIES Join the entire SHU community to celebrate special Sunday Masses at 12:30 PM and 7 PM. Contact our student Liturgical Leaders to serve as ministers for our liturgies. LEARN MORE What better way to comfort others than with cozy handmade items? The Knit Wits make hats, scarves and mittens for for community members in need. The Curtis Week immersion program introduces all students to different service opportunities. If you’re a freshman interested in making a difference, Community Connections is the way to start. MISSION TRIPS AROUND THE WORLD From Mississippi to El Salvador, our student delegations volunteer with communities or build homes for those in need. HUNGER AWARENESS PROGRAMS SHU students serve food—and comfort—by volunteering time in soup kitchens and community suppers.
