Summary of the results of the exhibitors‘ survey
●
33 universities and companies took part in Startschuss Abi München; 32 of them
filled in the survey.
●
As to the concept, the exhibitors consider the combination of presentation and
stand particularly important.
●
The exhibitors especially appreciate the personal contact with e-fellows.net. The
competent consulting service is praised as well as the fast reaction and permanent
reachability.
●
The representatives of universities and companies like the central location of the
venue and the venue itself. The catering at the stands is praised repeatedly, too.
●
For next year, some of the exhibitors wish for more companies as exhibitors. The
exhibitors criticized the WLAN connection which was instable from time to time.
●
All exhibitors who participated in the survey want to take part in Startschuss Abi
again and recommend participation.

Laptop for your presentation: we stick to the
arrangement that you bring your own laptop

Question: Up to now, you had to bring your own laptop for your presentation. We are
contemplating to provide laptops for the presentations in the future, so that you can bring
your presentation on a thumb drive. What is your opinion on this topic?
There is no consistent answer to this question. 4 of the 32 exhibitors want to continue
using their own laptop. One half of the remaining 28 exhibitors would like to use a laptop
provided by e-fellows.net, the other half has no preference. Therefore, we will stick to
the present handling that you bring your own laptop. Although this is not always very
comfortable, there is as well a big advantage: You do not run the risk of your
presentation being shown incorrectly – in case you use another software version or a
special font, for example.
If you cannot bring your own laptop to Startschuss Abi, please inform us in time. We will
bring a laptop for you then. We do also have a replacement for cases of need – for
example if your laptop does not work or cannot be connected to the beamer.

„The concept is coherent.“
„Very friendly staff, good organization, good schedule, comfortable manageable number of
exhibitors and students.“
„The supply of food by the exhibitors’ café and by the service of the staff of the hotel, who came
to each stand with snacks and beverages, was simply great! We felt very comfortable throughout the whole event. Furthermore, the organization of the event (coordination of the presentations, positioning of the stands etc.) was first-class. There were no problems in the process.“
„The new book with useful tips on studying. Additional offers like, for example, the photos for
application and the panel discussion.“

Information of the students before the event: Up to now, all invited students receive, among
other e-mails from e-fellows.net, the exhibitor mail which introduces each exhibitor with a short text.
Furthermore, students have to register for the presentations. Our aim is that the students inform
themselves about the programs of the exhibitors before they register for the program. Until the
beginning of the next Startschuss Abi season, we will think about new ways to guarantee a good
preparation of the students. Nevertheless, interested students can participate spontaneously,
provided that they bring their current report and fulfill the criteria of participation. These students
mostly get to know Startschuss Abi after the application deadline and therefore might come to your
stand without any preparation.
Parity of universities and companies: In our opinion, there should be as many fields of study
presented at Startschuss Abi as possible and there should be as many companies among the
exhibitors as universities. The preselection of the students leads to the fact that the majority of the
participants wants to study. Due to this, it only makes sense for companies with dual education
programs to participate in Startschuss Abi. We stick to the topic and hope that next year a bigger
part of the exhibitors will be companies.
Internet connection: We already informed the hotel. In the run-up to the next event, we will make
sure that a steady connection with the internet is provided.
Catering after the event: At former events, we experienced that the exhibitors do not have time to
go to the exhibitors’ café to eat something. Therefore, we introduced the stand service at Startschuss
Abi which shall make it possible for all exhibitors to eat something during the event. We will gladly
provide the remaining food from the exhibitors’ café at a central place after the event.
