LISA HARRIS VERONIKA SCOTT PEGGY NOE STEVENS Angela Cain is a communications, media relations and public relations professional. She was a 30year broadcast journalist who wrote and produced thousands of stories, with stints that included work as Community Affairs Director at WTHR-TV, an NBC affiliate in Indianapolis. Angela entered a new career field in 2015, joining the Indianapolis Airport Authority as the Director of Public Affairs. As president and owner, Amanda Parker is responsible for leading the strategic focus of Collective Alternative, a leading advertising, marketing and public relations firm. As a resourceful and visionary business leader, Amanda leads her talented team in the planning and executing of cohesive marketing strategies to position every client as a leader and trusted name in their respective industries. The fourth head coach in Indiana Fever history, Lin Dunn was inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame on June 14, 2014, during what was her final season on the sidelines. Dunn is the winningest coach in franchise history, boasting a seven year record of 135-103 with the 2012 WNBA championship as her finest accomplishment in a distinguished 44-year coaching career. Michelle Freed was born and raised in a tiny town in northwest Oklahoma, which provided the perfect material for her endless and sometimes inappropriate running commentaries about social conundrums and human flaws. Veronika Scott is a social entrepreneur and CEO/ founder of The Empowerment Plan. Based in Detroit, this non-profit humanitarian organization works to address homelessness by creating jobs for those who want them and providing coats for those who need them. By age 23, Scott had already received various awards, including the JFK New Frontier Award (2012). FIRESIDE CHATS JENNY WOLFGRAM As Vice President for Commercial Education at Roche Diagnostics, Jenny Wolfgram is responsible for leading a highly skilled and dynamic learning and development organization focused on providing a world class training experience. Nikki Lewallen is the executive director of Rainmakers and a passionate public speaker, facilitator and business development specialist. Nikki has been an integral part of the explosive growth of Rainmakers over the past eight years, seeing membership triple and market expansion from Indianapolis throughout the Midwest. Kim Ledger delivers a deep and sophisticated understanding of how the economic environment impacts the management of wealth to her clients and shaping investment solutions to help them meet their goals. She works closely with individuals and families, including retirees, business owners, executives and professionals. Kay Whitaker is a founder and managing director of One Torch Fund, investing in early stage companies with a “gender lens”. This approach serves as a “viewfinder” for identifying opportunities to increase ROI by having a woman on the senior executive team with a meaningful equity stake in the company. Dedicating her career to improving health care for vulnerable and underserved populations, Lisa E. Harris, M.D., has practiced medicine for 30 years at nationally recognized Eskenazi Health. Today, Dr. Harris serves as Eskenazi Health’s chief executive officer (CEO), leading one of America’s largest essential health care systems. As a trained and certified protocol, image and public speaking consultant, Peggy Noe Stevens uses a customized approach to establishing the authentic image architecture of both people and place. She is the world’s first female Master Bourbon Taster and can trace her lineage back to some of the great bourbon making families in Kentucky. JAYCIE PHELPS Jaycie Phelps was a member of the Magnificent Seven, the 1996 Olympic team that won gold in women’s gymnastics. She now owns Jaycie Phelps Athletic Center, a gymnastics, cheerleading, baseball, and softball sports complex in the Indianapolis area which opened in 2010. MONICA POINDEXTER JULIE RUSSELL DILTS Julie Russell Dilts serves as Senior Counsel for Roche Diagnostics Corporation. As a key commercial lawyer, she helps her clients market and sell Roche products while reducing business risks and ensuring compliance with complex healthcare laws. Monica Poindexter is responsible for leading the Diversity & Inclusion Center of Excellence that provides consulting, strategy development, workforce educational offerings and compliance management at Genentech, a Member of the Roche Group. PANELISTS PATTY PROSSER Patty Prosser has over 30 years experience in assisting organizations in solving a variety of human resource issues created by ongoing organizational change. She has assisted a broad base of client companies, both locally and nationally in growing, developing, retaining and transitioning their human resource assets. She is currently Managing Partner at Career Consultants-OI Partners. MARY BOELKE Mary Boelke is Managing Partner for Deloitte in Indianapolis. She is responsible for strategic management and operational execution of the Deloitte Indianapolis practice. Additionally, Mary has over 25 years of experience providing a broad range of tax consultation services. ANGIE HICKS Angie Hicks, CMO of Angie’s List as well as co-founder, earned her MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree in economics from DePauw University, which named her a 2007 Distinguished Alumni for Management and Entrepreneurship. She won the Indiana Commission for Women Torchbearer Award in March 2009 for entrepreneurial accomplishments. MOIRA CARLSTEDT Moira Carlstedt has served as President of the Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership since February 1998. She works within a community culture grounded in public-private partnerships, which enables her to utilize her extensive leadership and work experience in the private, government, and nonprofit sectors to pursue the INHP mission. DR. KATHLEEN SPEARS JEAN RICHCREEK Jean Richcreek has been Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer for Citizens Energy Group since 2000. In this role, Jean has had responsibility for corporate support service functions at the company including human resources, information technology, marketing, customer service, environmental stewardship, supply chain and quality systems. LISA SCHLEHUBER Lisa Schlehuber serves as CEO of Elements Financial, a $1 billion credit union based locally and serving members nationally and even globally, since 2005. She has navigated the company through multiple transformations including a strategic decision in 2008 to partner with companies beyond Eli Lilly and Company and a rebranding in 2015. ALISON MARTIN-BOOKS Alison Martin-Books is the Founder, President and CEO for Mentoring Women’s Network, an organization for professional women whose mission is to help women achieve their goals. She launched the Mentoring Women’s Network and the virtual mentoring program. As President and CEO of the Madame Walker Theatre Center, Dr. Kathleen Spears oversees the long-term sustainability of the organization. Spears is primarily responsible for strategic planning and execution, mission delivery, community engagement and resource development. TERRIE DANIEL Terrie Daniel, a long time advocate for minority, women and veteran-owned business enterprises, assists these businesses by creating a level playing field, providing educational resources and tools to aid in growth and development. Her advocacy has led her to her current role as Deputy Commissioner of the Indiana Department of Administration Division of Supplier Diversity. MARIA QUINTANA During her 35 years with JPMorgan Chase, Maria Quintana has held a variety of leadership positions. Her primary focus during the past 14 years has been government, not-for-profit, and healthcare business. She has served on many boards during her career and in 2014 received the NFL’s Hispanic Heritage Leadership Award. MYRA SELBY LINDA KIRBY Linda Kirby is the founding CEO of Leadership Indianapolis. Leadership Indianapolis was formed in 2013 when the Stanley K. Lacy Executive Leadership Series and Lacy Leadership Association united to create a new community leadership organization. She is focused on strategically, intentionally and continually building a pipeline of diverse community leaders. JEAN WOJTOWICZ Jean Wojtowicz founded Cambridge Capital Management Corp. in 1983 and currently serves as its President. Cambridge is a manager of nontraditional sources of capital for businesses and has provided more than $527 million to over 1,370 Indiana businesses. Myra Selby, former associate justice of the Indiana Supreme Court, has a broad-based practice with a focus in the areas of corporate internal investigations, appellate practice, compliance counseling, complex litigation, risk management, strategic and other legal advice, based upon an understanding of the related business objectives, across various industry sectors at Ice Miller. PAM DOWNS Pam Downs is a Partner in Deloitte’s multistate tax practice, specializing in CIP Industry and Income/Franchise Taxes.
