Cilcain, Whi Date Published: 3rd June 2013 Description This delightful route sets off from the Old Water Works, Cilcain and soon sets into the stiffest part of the walk, climbing the zig-zag to Moel Famau. Your efforts are rewarded with great views across to Snowdonia and in the opposite direction, the Cheshire plains. 1/3 We then walk south, downwards, along the Offa's Dyke path to the popular "tourists" car park ( you could start from here). Cross the road and walk south-east, climbing gently between Foel Fenlli and Moel Eithinen. Continue to and cross the main Mold-Ruthin road and walk on a quite lane for a mile or so before turning north into woods. Rejoin the road as far as Pant-ou and join the Clwydian Way heading north to Maeshafn (Miners Arms). Continue to Loggerheads, (good cafe & pub). Take the Leate path heading north-west returning to Cilcain. Waypoints 2/3 3/3
