PAPER GLOBE
Make your own Paper Mache Earth!
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

A small round balloon
Paper mache paste (1 part flour, 2 parts water)
A whisk to mix the paste
1” newspaper strips
1” blue and green tissue paper strips
Recyclable cup and plate to rest your earth on
Thumbtack (to pop the balloon)
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Mix up some paper mache paste.
2. Blow up your small balloon and place it on top of the cup, on the plate.
3. Dip the strips of newspaper into the paste and cover the balloon, smoothing out the strips.
Let it dry overnight and repeat the process.
4. Now you’re ready to get creative with tissue paper. This time, cover your globe with paper mache paste and
gently put tissue paper on top. You may need another layer of paste to smooth out wrinkles.
5. Let it dry and carefully use the thumbtack to pop the balloon.
6. Enjoy the new world you just created!
