Japanese American Cultural Festival Wesley Methodist Church The Madei Project (In the Information Booth) These ‘mingei’ or handcrafts are made by ‘The Carnation Club’ of Iitate, Japan-a town that was forced to evacuate due to their proximity to the Fukushima nuclear power plant. Proceeds from the sale of these go directly to this village. Visit our Nikkei Matsuri Information Booth at the Intersection of Fifth St and Jackson St!
