e are excited and looking forward to this fall and Tremont’s
90th Anniversary Celebration. Following is a preview of some

fter decades of dedicated and committed teaching in the
Tremont Sunday School, Marguerite Hindman and Mary
Lou Sims will retire from the Christian education ministry of our church.
They have faithfully taught God’s Word to children and have been role
models for hundreds of boys and girls over the years.
Special Guests:

Everyone welcome,
please bring a covered dish.
We will be giving them special honor on August 30th, Promotion Sunday.
We would also like to prepare a Book of Memories for each of them. If
you or your children have been influenced by their love and godly lives,
please take the time to write a paragraph expressing your appreciation to
them and turn in by August 19th to the church office, Truman Albertson, or
Pastor Wilson. If you have photographs of past classes they have taught, please

e want to acknowledge
the outstanding ministry
that Rick & Suzanne Wilson have
done in our KinderChurch. They
have faithfully ministered to our 3
to 5 year olds for more than a
dozen years. This kind of longevity and commitment in preschool
ministry is very rare! They have
literally impacted a generation of
toddlers!
Thanks, Rick and Suzy for loving and touching the hearts and
lives of the little ones for Jesus!
Heaven’s Grand
Parade of
Tremont Saints
In conjunction with our upcoming
90th Anniversary Celebration this
Fall, we are preparing a DVD entitled: Heaven’s Grand Parade of
Tremont Saints—Walking Streets
of Gold. This DVD presentation
will be made available following
its presentation on October 25,
2009. Thanks to all who have assisted in this preparation.
If you have a college student in
your family and would like to
have a copy of the book Campus
Voices and Student Choices, written by Tony & Kathy Willis, turn in
$15.00 to the Church Office by
August 16th.

The tickets for Carowinds are FREE, yes I said FREE, for all boys
and girls (ages 6 to 12) who are regular attendees of Safe Harbor
Children’s Ministry. We will leave church at 8:00 a.m. and return
around 10:30 p.m.
