GOOD SPIRIT SCHOOL DIVISION www.gssd.ca DAVISON SCHOOL www.dav.ca CLUBS........ **S.R.C. – Becoming a member of the S.R.C. teaches cooperation, responsibility and commitment and these students will certainly be tomorrow’s leaders. Thank you to the many students who applied to become part of the S.R.C. Thank you to Miss Hough and Miss Senyk who are the teacher advisors for the S.R.C. Be sure to watch for a number of initiatives from this talented group. **READING CLUB- Mrs. Koval has spearheaded this club open to students from grades K through 6 for a number of years. It encourages children to read nightly while tracking their reading. Prizes are awarded when the students have read for 10, 25, 50, 100, 150, 200, 250 and 300 nights. What a challenge! **ARTS & CRAFT CLUB – Mrs. Koval, Mrs. Kreklewich, Miss Hough and Miss Nystrom will oversee the Arts & Craft Club which will begin in October. Students in grades 13 are invited to stay after school to make a craft. The club will meet approximately once a month and the theme of the project will usually revolve around a holiday or special event taking place that month. **COOKING CLUB - We try to give all students the opportunity to participate in activities that take place outside of the classroom, but because of their age the kindergarten children sometimes are left out. To give our little tykes the chance to join a club, Mrs. Koval, Mrs. Kreklewich, Miss Hough and Miss Nystrom will continue with the Cooking Club this year. This club is open to students in kindergarten, grade 1 and grade 2. The club will meet after school to make simple and fun recipes (usually centered on a theme). Watch for more information.
