The Executive of the Sudbury Minor Hockey Association is extremely excited to
announce the appointment of two of its two newest Directors.
Our first appointment is well known to the hockey community, locally,
provincially, and nationally. Drake Berehowsky continues his commitment to the
Sudbury by community joining the Board.
With an exceptionally well rounded hockey resume there is no doubt that Drake
will be an incredible asset to those players participating in the SMHA. Currently
Drake is in his second season as an associate coach with the Sudbury
Wolves. Drake also has over 10 years of Coaching experience at all levels of
hockey.
He played in the OHL for four seasons, which was followed by a career in the
NHL for over twelve years.
Drake is a husband and father to six children. He looks forward to working with
the SMHA and doing ‘some great things for all the kids playing’ hockey.
We are also extremely proud to announce that local boy Andrew Dale has
joined our board as well. As a former Wolves alum, Andrew also played four
years in the OHL, three of which were with the Sudbury Wolves. His OHL
experience was followed by 10 seasons playing hockey at a semi-professional
level.
Andrew is currently involved in enhancing the local hockey experience as a
champion of the True North Strong project as well as playing an integral role in
new OHL Sudbury Wolves organizational structure.
Andrew is a husband and a father to three children.
The Sudbury Minor Hockey Association is thrilled to be able to garner the
commitment of these two prominent hockey people. It is our fervent belief that
board will be greatly enhanced by the addition of Drake and Andrew.
Without a doubt we are looking forward to not only working with our two newest
members but also with our community partners as we focus on “Keeping players
on the ice and out of hot water.”
