The Randolph Sculpture Gallery
The Randolph Sculpture Gallery displays
arresting and dramatic Greek and Roman
classical sculpture. It is a stunning venue
in which to hold a drinks and canapés
reception or a gala dinner.
The Gallery is licensed to hold civil
ceremonies for up to 80 guests.
It can hold up to 200 guests for a drinks
reception, or up to 80 for a formal
dinner. Exclusive guided tours of the
collections are available on request.

The Mallett Gallery
Located on the first floor is the recently refurbished
Mallett Gallery. This stunning space is ideal for a
drinks reception, and is also licensed for civil
ceremonies for up to 80 guests. With red silk
damask walls, glistening chandeliers and Old
Master paintings by Poussin and Lorrain amongst
others, this magnificent space emulates an Italian
seventeenth-century palazzo interior.
Ashmolean’s drinks and canapés suggestions
To access, guests are guided up the grand staircase
though the Founders Gallery and the Renaissance
Painting Gallery. During a drinks reception
additional galleries can remain open for guests to
enjoy the maiolica, silver and ceramic collections.
The Treasures exhibition, open until December 2008, is also available on request for private

The Ashmolean Café
The Ashmolean Café, managed by
digbytrout Restaurants, is open to
members of the public for lunches and
snacks from Tuesday to Saturday
from 10.00am to 5.00pm and on
Sundays from 12.00pm to 5.00pm.
The Ashmolean Café prides itself for
using free range chicken and eggs,
sustainable fish, fair-trade coffee and
for sourcing from local suppliers
whenever possible. Delicious
homemade cakes are baked daily on
site.

The Ashmolean Café is also available
as a unique venue for private events
and can cater for wedding receptions
and all other special occasions. Superb
food, excellent service and a
welcoming atmosphere will delight you
and your guests.
The Ashmolean Café can accommodate
dinners for up to 100 persons and
canapés receptions for up to 150 and
can provide an event tailored to suit
your personal taste and needs.

The Headley Lecture Theatre
The Headley Lecture Theatre is a
light, spacious, modern room. It
is ideal for meetings, seminars,
company presentations and
lectures. As a flexible, flat-bed
room with non-fixed seating, it
can be arranged in any style to
suit your requirements. Up to 100
people can be accommodated
theatre-style, 30 workshop-style
and 20 meeting-style.
The Lecture Theatre is on the lower ground floor of the Ashmolean Museum. Coffees, teas
and buffet lunches can be served in this room by the Ashmolean Café.
Daytime and evening breaks
Accessibility
Disabled access is available via lift to the Headley Lecture Theatre. Access through the
Museum Shop is also an option, and the Shop may be opened for your delegates/guests by
arrangement.

The Headley Lecture Theatre is well
equipped with adjustable lighting, blackout
blinds and a large, integral screen and
lectern.

To use the data projector, DVD and video link there is an additional charge of £100 + VAT
