Hiring a professional will keep a collection theme and to a consistent standard. Artwork can be purchased to highlight priority areas. A client can also commission a piece of work that can be custom made to fit the space and unique vision. Framing: Updating frames and matting can bring new life to existing artwork. Additionally, framing and glazing can provide protection against damage. Appraisal and Inventory: Like all assets, it is important to appraise and insure an art collection. An appraisal or inventory report includes an artwork’s description and value. The Gallery supplies its clients with a written report for insurance purposes. Installation: Professional art installation creates a visual flow to the work installed throughout an office or home. A consultant will consider the size and orientation of artwork related to the space, as well as take into consideration sunlight and traffic to protect the artwork. Conservation: Mishaps do occur with two and three dimensional artwork. The Gallery subcontracts conservation work to experienced conservators. Transportation and Storage: The Gallery subcontracts most transportation and storage needs. The Sunne Savage Gallery works with many local venders and will bid out to multiple companies. Sales: The Gallery will assist in the sales of works to finance new ventures and to build and/or add to a collection. Work can be sold to private or corporate clients, as well as at auction.
