Led by the Holy Spirit ,
Growing Christ’s Church Deep and Wide
Children’s Sunday School
The children will be studying a new
curriculum from Growing in Grace and
Gratitude this school year. It begins with
grace in the Exodus founded squarely in
God's desire and actions to free his people.
Gratitude embraces freedom, living with God and neighbors,
teaching respect for all people. It is an exciting time for our
young people to learn more about God's love. The fall Sunday
School year starts on September 6.
Teachers are needed to help with this new program.
It provides a wonderful opportunity to get to know
our young people. Contact Audrey Coulson if you
would like more information.
Let’s Go Hiking
September 11, 2016
Join Carl and Bonnie Davis on an easy circle hike of
3 miles through hardwood, pine forest and along a
creek. There are no hills, making this hike suitable
for all ages. Meet at the Pine Grove Furnace General
Store at 1:30 P.M. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water if
needed. Come, enjoy the outdoors!
Fruitbelt Farm Worker
Christian Ministry
September 18, 2016
Please join us for the outreach service program to the
migrant workers in Adams county. Those who have
gone in the past have found this to be a very
enlightening experience. If you are interested, be at the church at
2:45 P.M. to travel together to the camp.
The youth will be putting together health kits to be taken to the
farm workers. Items needed are: Bar Soap, Toilet Paper, Adult
Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Can of Shaving Cream, Disposable Razors
and New Towels and Washcloths. Items may be placed in the
basket in the back of the sanctuary.
Blessing of the Backpacks
September 18, 2016
Let’s start the school year right! As our children
and youth get back to studying and discovering
their own strengths and gifts, let’s pray for them!
God wants them to learn and grow to be the
person they were created to be. That’s what makes for joy!
Children and youth, please bring your backpacks to church on Sunday,
September 18 for a special blessing.
October Bake Sale
The Spiritual Growth Team is sponsoring a bake sale to be held each
Thursday in October (10/6, 10/13, 10/20, and 10/27) at the food wagon at
Rowe’s Auction House. These proceeds will be used toward payment for the
St. Paul’s Brass performance at our annual Christmas Benefit Concert
Fundraiser for Project Share on December 11, 2016 at 7:00 P.M.
There will be a sign-up sheet posted in the CE building. Donations can be dropped off at
the church on Wednesday or Thursday morning or if you need to have your item(s) picked up
please note this on the sign-up sheet.
As we anticipate the majority of the sales to be in uncut, whole items, we would appreciate
items to be packaged in non-returnable pans. If you are going to supply a cookie bar item,
please wrap or bag them individually or in the quantity you would like them to be sold.

Turkey Dinner
October 8, 2016
3:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M.
Fall is right around the corner and Dickinson Presbyterian will
be kicking off the season with a turkey dinner.
Can you spare some time to help with the dinner, can you
make a dessert, or donate an item? Any and all of this would
be greatly appreciated. There will be a sign up sheet in the CE Building. If
you have helped with one of our dinners before, you know it can be a lot of
work. However, the fellowship, the laughter, and the good feeling you get
makes it all worth it. We hope you will be able to join us on Saturday,
October 8th. If you can’t help, please come and have dinner with us. Bring
you family, friends, and neighbors.
Donation - Adults - $9.00
Children age 5 - 12 - $5.00 - Children 4 and under - Free
Take Out will be available

Connection Ministry Team
Bell Choir and Choir
All ringers and singers, summer is almost over and
practice for Bell Choir and Choir will be starting. Bells
will practice on Mondays at 7 P.M. starting
September 12th and Choir will be on Wednesdays at
7 P.M. starting September 21st. Please come out and join either or
both choirs.
