Communities from Peggy’s Cove to Lunenburg and all spots in between double for Stephen King’s Maine. Spectacular scenery and interesting architecture provide the perfect backdrop. Throw in an existing crew and infrastructure base, along with a competitive tax jurisdiction and it’s easy to see why they began production here back in 2010. We were thrilled to learn they would return again this year to film season five and we were over the moon to discover their episode order had doubled to 26. “It’s been enormously helpful that South Shore communities have been very supportive of the show,” shared executive producer David MacLeod of Chester’s Big Motion Pictures. “The length of the shooting schedule and the amount of money spent in Nova Scotia will increase dramatically this year.” So will the number of folks who visit the area just to see where the series is filmed. All that worldwide success means a win for us here in the Haven’hood too – wahoo! 1. Executive producer Shawn Piller directs a stunt during filming of Haven, season five. 2.
