The leader Grand Haven is seeking will: • Model the highest level of personal and professional ethics, integrity, honesty and trust. • Be an innovative thinker who embraces technological advances, combined with best instructional practices. • Demonstrate leadership with confident decision-making skills. • Engage in a collaborative approach to decision making, strategic planning and creative problem solving. • Demonstrate excellent communication and relationship-building skills. • Be open-minded and approachable with staff, students, parents and community members. • Have experience with the implementation of one-to-one technology initiatives. • Dedicate all efforts towards educational excellence, continuous improvement, and the success of all students. • Have experience in a multi-cultural environment. • Possess a strong commitment to and visible engagement in the greater Grand Haven community. • Demonstrate knowledge of public school finance and responsible fiscal management. • Understand effective curriculum, instruction and assessment best practices. • Be successful in collective bargaining, union relations and employment practices. • Be a visionary, with a hands-on, student-centered approach who can engage students, staff, parents and community members. Total salary compensation will depend on the background and experience of the successful candidate.
