Papermaker Stadium Kimberly High School Papermaker Stadium 575 S. John Street Kimberly, WI 54136 Kimberly High School Athletics comes with high expectations. The great tradition and pride of the Kimberly community and athletics is nearly tangible. One of the first lessons our athletes get is not to try to live up to expectations but rather work as hard as possible to achieve the goals set and the rest will take care of itself. Twenty-four sports are offered by our high school with four of those being co-op situations that allow for more opportunity for participants in those sports . We are grateful for all of the opportunities are kids are offered and are fortunate to have such a caring, experienced, devoted coaching staff. Our student-athletes strive for excellence both in and out of the classroom. We work hard to provide opportunities for these student-athletes to maximize their potential in each sport, promote athletes to play multiple sports, value the concept of teamwork by being a valuable team member and teammate, learn to prioritize within their life, live a healthy life by making good choices about what they put into their bodies as well as how they condition and build/maintain strength, and deal with the various adversities that come throughout any challenging task. Our programs and teams compete at the highest level in the state and are coached by some of the finest coaches in our great state. Overall Franchise Record: 43-22 NEFL All-time Record: 26-18 All-time vs. Force: 1-1 The Eau Claire Crush is the Chippewa Valley’s premier adult amateur football 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The organization started in 2006, when a group of outstanding citizens came together with a single idea to provide the Chippewa Valley with quality entertainment at an affordable price, while simultaneously giving back to the communities that have lovingly supported them. The Eau Claire Crush entered their inaugural season in 2007 as a member of the Great Plains Football League (GPFL). They ended that season as the Eastern Conference Champions and runner-up to the GPFL championship. In 2008, the Crush joined with seven other teams to create the Northern Elite Football League (NEFL). The NEFL is a non-profit organization formed to help promote adult amateur football and commitment to the community, while giving every team in the league an equal vote in operating the league. NEFL TEAMS In 2009, the NEFL expanded by two teams in the off-season, causing the league to restructure by moving the Crush to the Western conference. New Head Coach Todd Trapp led the Crush to a 6-2 season, second only to their cross-town rival, the Chippewa Valley Predators. The Crush led the league in scoring in 2009. In 2010, the Crush went 5-3, falling in the first round of the playoffs to the Twin Ports Stampede. The Spartans play their games between May and August with home games being played at Schofield Stadium in Schofield, Wis. The Spartans provide a great opportunity for anyone wishing to stay involved with the game of football at any level, be it a fan, player, coach or sponsor. The Spartans roster is made up of all types of players from the Central Wisconsin area. They are always looking to increase their numbers with dedicated, team-oriented players. The current roster consists of players with experience ranging from former college stand-outs to players that haven’t played since junior high school. NEFL TEAMS Northern Elite Southern Division St. Paul Pioneers Seafoam Stadium St. Paul, Minn. Overall Franchise Record: 99-32-1 NEFL All-time Record: 28-3-1 All-time vs. Force: 2-0 The Pioneers are a group of hardworking individuals who come together through sport and kinship to form a family. The Pioneers believe in hardwork, integrity, dignity, community involvement and representing St. Paul and its surrounding communities. The Pioneers are made up of teachers, financial consultants, welders, police officers, writers, IT personnel, mail carriers, printers and much more! The Pioneers blend into the fabric of their community simply becuase they live in the community — they just love the game of football. Their only compensation is the enjoyment of playing hard and building long-lasting relationships. NEFL TEAMS The St. Paul Pioneers first took the field in 2002, playing most of its games at Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minn. In 2004, the Pioneers called Highland Park High school their home. Under new ownership in 2005, the team moved once again to the Northern Suburbs where Mounds View High School set the scene as the home of the Pioneers. Overall Franchise Record: 92-35 NEFL All-time Record: 37-12 All-time vs. Force: 4-0 As the Predators enter their twelfth season of competition, it’s clear from the start that the goal for one of Wisconsin’s longest-tenured amateur football organizations is nothing short of a championship. The last two seasons have ended at the hands of the eventual champions, the St. Paul Pioneers, in the postseason at Carson Park. Head Coach Martin Adams said that the team has one goal this year—“Win Elite Bowl V.” Last year, the Predators lost their opener to the Minnesota Dragons before winning eight straight games, including a trio of victories over their in-city rivals, the Eau Claire Crush (a team they haven’t lost to since 2008). In Elite Bowl IV, they were shut out for the first time since 2006, a stretch of over five years, by the Pioneers, 15-0. The Predators will play at Carson Park eight times this season, including their seasonopening scrimmage against the River City Rough Riders on April 14. Adams describes Carson Park as “the most electric home venue in the league.” NEFL TEAMS Championship games 3-2 2001, 2002 GPFL 2009 NEFL Runner-up 2008, 2011, 2012 NEFL Northern Elite Football River City Roughriders UW-La Crosse Stadium La Crosse, Wis. Overall Franchise Record: 42-61 NEFL All-time Record: 5-10 The River City Rough Riders are a Semi-Pro Football team based out of La Crosse, Wis. who has just joined the NEFL in 2011 and entering in to our second season. During 2011, we learned the difference between the NAFL (previous league) and the NEFL. That is, you cannot take one play off in this league or else you find yourself playing catch up. NEFL TEAMS In 2012 there will definitely be a better mind set. We will miss playing in the NAFL but we feel like this will be a better opportunity for our team as well as improving the NEFL. We have a team that is made up of a group of 18-40 year-old men with a desire to play for the love of the game. The goal for the ownership and staff is to have these players move on to play at another level or maybe receive coaching positions as well. The Rough Riders are happy to announce that they will play their third season at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse stadium. Our name is River City but we are based in La Crosse. We get the name River City from the wide range of players that we have from the surrounding areas of La Crosse, Wis. Football in the spring and summer has been great for our family orientated organization. As we continue to grow within the area, we look forward to working with area schools, charities and organizations with donation of revenue, volunteering and awareness. The Thunderhawks are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that are heavily involved off the field with local schools, charities and organizations throughout the Greater Menomonie Area and Chippewa Valley. The Thunderhawks won the Northern Elite Power Football League Championship in 2010 before moving to the NEFL in 2011. The Thunderhawks are players primarily from Western Wisconsin and have many players that have played at UW-Eau Claire and UW-Stout before coming to the Thunderhawks after their collegiate careers ended. The Menomonie Thunderhawks team is made up of a broad range of experience, from former college stand outs to players who have not played since high school. NEFL TEAMS Mid-States Football Team Roscoe RUsh STADIUM CITY,STATE Overall Franchise Record: 112-31-1 Ten years, Three championships, Never a losing season, and a strong reputation. That’s the resume that has been crafted by the Roscoe Rush from the very first season (2003) and continues through 2012. The Rush won back-to-back MidStates League Championship in 2010 and 2011. They also vied for back-to-back national Championship held in Homestead, Florida. Starting in late 2002, co-owners Brian Kelly and Rob Feltner decided to break away from the fray and use their football heritage as a way to bring their brand of football to the Northern Illinois area. Both grew up in the storied Belvidere tradition. Kelly and Feltner built a strong team from scratch in 2003 called the Belvidere Rush that fired up the gridiron ghosts and an All-American town that loves Football. MSFL TEAMS Answering the call in that inaugural season, the Rush posted an a 10-3 overall record to wind up the Chicago Metro Football League runner-up. The following year (2004), the Rush met destiny by winning the CMFL championship, defeating the IL Firehawks, 36-0. The Rush has an overall record of 112-31-1 overall record. They claimed three league championships in five appearances. They have 10 consecutive playoff appearances. In the topsy-turvy world of minor league football, it’s impressive that the squad has only ever had two head coaches. That doesn’t just translate to great records, but an element of stability. It’s a program that fans and players can count on. Lloyd Meyers (30-10-1) held the reins from 2003-2005, while Bill Kalas is set to begin his eighth campaign. Each year they have lent a helping hand in the community, to such causes as Youth football camps, Wounded Warrior Project, Relay For Life, Operation Support Our Troops Illinois and most recently, The Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.
