The Call of David

I personally believe that it was the intention of the Lord to make David the first king
of Israel. However, as is obvious, the Children of Israel jumped the gun, so to speak,
demanding a king before it was time, and Saul was the result. This proved to be exactly
what the Lord said it would be, a catastrophe almost from the beginning.
Saul was no
longer the
representative
of Jehovah and,
consequently,
Samuel no more
came to him ...
The Lord had cut
him off.
Samuel was the great prophet who had been
delegated by the Lord to find the first king of
Israel, whom the Lord, at the demand of the
people, would select. To be sure, Saul looked the
part. He was head and shoulders taller than
any other man in Israel and had a commanding
presence, but despite all of that, he had no heart
for God. Concerning this, the Scripture says:
““And Samuel came no more to see Saul
until the day of his death: nevertheless
Samuel mourned for Saul: and the LORD
repented that He had made Saul king over
Israel” (I Sam. 15:35).
Due to rebellion against God, Saul was no
longer the representative of Jehovah and,
consequently, Samuel no more came to him
bearing messages and commands or giving
him counsel and guidance from God. The Lord
had cut him off.
Now we find something extremely interesting as
it regards the call of David. The Scripture says
concerning this, and we continue to quote from
The Expositor’s Study Bible:
““And the LORD said unto Samuel (interrupts
the great prophet’s negative thoughts), How
long will you mourn for Saul (Samuel
was mourning and, at the same time, God
was planning the greatest moment in Israel’s
history; the truth is, we have nothing to mourn,

for, at this moment, God is planning great
things for us; we must remember that!), seeing
I have rejected him from reigning over
Israel? (The Lord rejects all who will not obey
His Word.) fill your horn with oil (a Type
of the Holy Spirit), and go (if the Holy Spirit
is present, it is always in order that a mission
be accomplished), I will send you to Jesse
the Beth-lehemite: for I have provided
Me a king among his sons (of course, that
was David, but, above all, the Provision was the
Greater Son of David)” (I Sam. 16:1).
HOW LONG WILL YOU MOURN?
Samuel, the great prophet, totally disillusioned
regarding Saul, was seemingly in a state of
depression. Due to Saul’s spiritual condition,
which was probably in the state of demon
possession, the great prophet could see no future
for Israel. So, the Scripture says that the great
prophet was mourning.
The Hebrew word for “mourn” is “abal” and means
“to bewail, to lament.” And yet, it is remarkable
that at the very time that Samuel was mourning,
the Lord was planning the greatest moment
for Israel that the nation to date had ever seen.
Should that be a lesson to us?
Oftentimes, whenever it looks hopeless, and
Satan screams in our ears that he has taken the

day, and it’s no more use for us to even continue, at that very moment in
the portals of Glory, God very well could be planning the greatest moment
and the greatest victory that we have ever had. So, the Lord would ask the
prophet, “How long will you mourn for Saul?” Quite possibly, He could ask the
same question of us.
The Lord does not know defeat and if we look to Him exclusively, there will
be no defeat for us. There may be setbacks, there may be failure on our
part, and it may look at times as if we are done in. However, if we will pick
ourselves up and place our faith exclusively in Christ and what He has done
for us at the Cross, despite the past and despite even the present, if we are
sincere and our hearts are right with God, the Lord is still planning great
things for us. Don’t forget that! Remember that!
Incidentally, Samuel was the last judge of Israel and the first prophet to stand
in that office. While there had been prophets before Samuel, he was the first
one to stand in that office.
What does that mean?

Death, in His Bodily Resurrection, in His Ascension to the
Right Hand of the Father, in His personal future return to
this Earth in Power and Glory to rule a thousand years. (Jn.
1:1-4; Eph. 2:13-18; Rev., Chpts. 19-20)

THE PRICELESS CORNER
We have set aside this corner of The Evangelist to show
God’s Plan of Salvation. If you are unsure where you will go
when you die, please listen to what God has said in His Word:
FIRST: GOD LOVES YOU!
Israel only now had become a nation.
During the time of the judges, she was
little more than a scattered polyglot
of factions. Now she was at least the
semblance of a nation, which required
a prophet and, in fact, several prophets.
Actually, the Lord would lead Israel by
the ministry of the prophet, who, in a
sense, was the de facto leader of Israel
under the king. The Lord would speak
to the prophet, and then the prophet
would speak to the king, or, at least,
that’s the way it should have been.
Down through the years to come, Israel
at times would turn her back on God
and would mistreat the prophets, even to the point of killing them. In
addition, there was always the problem of false prophets, but Samuel was
one of the godliest men who ever lived. His crowning achievement, as we
shall see, was the anointing of David to be the king of Israel, even though
David would not gain the throne until approximately 15 years later.
REJECTION
The Lord said of Saul as He spoke to Samuel, “Seeing I have rejected him (Saul)
from reigning over Israel.” And yet, he would reign for another approximate 15
years. In fact, he would reign 40 years as the king of Israel.
We see here that the Lord rejects some things, and, as such, He rejects
some people. Saul could have been blessed to the extent that there were no
boundaries; however, he couldn’t see it that way. Jealousy pushed him into
demon possession. As far as we know, he died eternally lost.
“For God so loved the world that he gave His only Begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but
have Everlasting Life” (Jn. 3:16).
SECOND: MAN IS A SINNER, AND SIN
HAS SEPARATED HIM FROM GOD
“For there is not a just man upon Earth, that doeth good and
sinneth not” (Eccl. 7:20).
“For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God”
(Rom. 3:23).
THIRD: JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONLY REMEDY FOR SIN
“For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the
unjust, that He might bring us to God ...” (I Pet. 3:18).
“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other
name under Heaven given among men, whereby we must
be saved” (Acts 4:12).
FOURTH: YOU MUST RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST
AS YOUR PERSONAL LORD AND SAVIOR
Jesus calls this experience the “new bir th.” He told
Nicodemus: “... Except a man be born again, he cannot see
the Kingdom of God” (Jn. 3:3).
We invite you now to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as your
personal Saviour. “But as many as received Him, to them
gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them
that believe on His Name” (Jn. 1:12).
Pray this prayer and mean it with all of your heart:
Dear Lord Jesus, I now realize that I am a sinner. I accept
the fact that You died for me on the rugged Cross of Calvary.
I now open my heart’s door and receive You as Saviour and
Lord of my life. Please take full control of me and help me to
be the kind of Christian You want me to be. Amen.

KING AMONG HIS SONS
The oil in Old Testament times, of
course, was a Type of the Holy Spirit.
The phrase, “I have provided Me a king
among his sons,” carries far more weight
than meets the eye. He was speaking
of David. More importantly, He knew
that ultimately he would relate to
David the fact that the Messiah would
come through his family. This was the
highest honor that could be afforded
any human being, so it had connection
with the greater Son of David, the Lord
Jesus Christ. Of course, Samuel could
not know any of these things now,
but the Lord knew. That’s the reason
that David stands out in history as
one of the greatest of all. It was for
the simple reason that the Messiah,
the Saviour, the Son of the Living God,
God manifest in the flesh, would come
through the family of David and, in
fact, would be referred to as the “Son
of David.”
Whenever the Lord wished to anoint
somebody for a particular purpose,
namely, as the king of Israel, as David
would now be anointed, a large ram’s
horn was used for this purpose. It
would probably hold about a quart of
oil in today’s measurement.
It was almost altogether olive oil that
would be used. When the prophet
anointed David, he would literally
pour the oil over his head, and it
would drip down over his garment,
in a sense, saturating it with oil. As
stated, it was a Type of the Holy Spirit
and was to portray the fact that the
individual was to be led by the Spirit,
guided by the Spirit, and empowered
by the Spirit.
Before the Cross, the Holy Spirit could
not come into the hearts and lives
of believers to abide permanently.
Actually, with most, He never entered
into their hearts and lives at all. He
was “with” these believers, whoever
they may have been, but not “in” these
believers (Jn. 14:17).
However, with kings and such like,
which would have included the high
priest, the Holy Spirit, in fact, did
come into the heart and life of such a
person to abide, at least, for a period of
time. He did this in order to help them
carry out the task assigned to them,
whatever that task may have been,
but this number, who were, in essence,
filled with the Spirit, was few.
So, the Lord told Samuel to fill his horn
with oil and go, for He was about to
make known to Samuel and others, as
well, who, in fact, was to be the next
king. It would be David.
So, we find that David’s anointing
would be built, so to speak, on the
shed Blood of the Lamb.
THE SACRIFICE
The Lord told Samuel to “… Take an
heifer with you, and say, I am come to
sacrifice to the LORD. And call Jesse
to the sacrifice, and I will show you
what you shall do: and you shall anoint
unto Me him whom I name unto you” (I
Sam. 16:2-3).
Samuel, with the horn of oil, went
to the small village of Bethlehem.
He called all the elders of the town
together, which included Jesse and his
sons. Jesse was the father of David.
The Scripture says, “… and called them
to the sacrifice” (I Sam. 16:5).
So, we find that David’s anointing
would be built, so to speak, on the shed
Blood of the Lamb. This portrayed the
seriousness of this matter, in effect,
stating that, at the time, it was the
single most important thing on the
face of the Earth. And yet, no one
really knew that, and I don’t think
that Samuel the Prophet actually
understood all the implications of
what was taking place.
MAN LOOKS ON THE
OUTWARD BUT THE LORD
LOOKS ON THE HEART
Evidently, David, as we shall see, was
anointed in front of all the elders of
the town of Bethlehem.
Samuel apparently asked about Jesse,
for this was the household of the next
king of Israel.
When all the sons of Jesse came before
Samuel, he looked at Eliab, evidently,
Jesse’s eldest son, and said, “… Surely
the LORD’s Anointed is before him” (I
Sam. 16:6).
Samuel would find that the Lord
did not choose Eliab, irrespective
of his outward appearance, which
to Samuel looked kingly, nor did He
choose any of the other sons of Jesse
who were present. There is a very
valuable lesson here.
Samuel, as godly as he was, was
looking after the means of the flesh.
It is very difficult for believers to
understand, even the godliest among
us, that God cannot use anything
that is conceived in the heart of man,
irrespective if he is the godliest man in
the world. For God to use it, it must be
conceived by the Holy Spirit, devised
by the Holy Spirit, birthed by the Holy
Spirit, and empowered by the Holy
Spirit. Then and then alone can God

accept it, but that’s the hardest thing for believers to learn
and to understand. So, the Lord said unto Samuel:
“… Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature;
because I have refused him: for the Lord sees not as man sees;
for man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks
on the heart” (I Sam. 16:7).
A PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
Years ago, we preached a one-night crusade in Little
Rock, Arkansas. The auditorium was filled to capacity, if
I remember correctly.
At any rate, after the service ended, a dear brother, with
whom I was very well acquainted, walked on the platform.
Actually, when I was but a child, he was our pastor at
the Assembly of God church in the little town of Ferriday,
Louisiana. So, I knew him well and respected him highly.
He was now the secretary treasurer for the Arkansas district
of the Assemblies of God.
What an honor it is to live for Him! What a privilege it is to
know Him! We have nothing to contribute to Him; He has
everything to contribute to us, which He generously does.
After all of the sons of Jesse who were present had passed
before Samuel, and the Lord had said “no” to all of them,
“Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all your children? And he said,
There remains yet the youngest, and, behold, he keeps the sheep.
And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not
sit down till he comes hither” (I Sam. 16:11).
All of this portrays the fact that the family of Jesse was very
poor. When people tended sheep in those days, they hired
a shepherd if they were people of means. Considering that
David was attending this task himself, it shows us that
the family was not wealthy. But yet, David was a perfect
example because our Lord would be the Great Shepherd.
He walked up to me and greeted me warmly. Then he told
me something that I had never heard repeated.
He said, “Jimmy, I remember a particular prayer meeting that
we were in when you were just a child.” He stated how that
my grandmother was there, my aunt was there, my mother
and my dad, and I was there as well. That was about the
extent of the small group gathered.
He went on to relate how that a message in tongues and
interpretation went forth. I don’t remember that he told me
who gave the message and who interpreted it, but merely
that it was given. The message, in essence, said that there
was one in their midst at that time, who would touch the
world with the Gospel, or words to that effect.
He said to me, “Jimmy, as I looked at the small crowd, I
wondered if that message in tongues and interpretation was
from the Lord.” He said, “I knew that the Lord would never use
me in that capacity,” and he said, “I could not see Him using
your dad in that capacity.” He went on to say, “I looked at you,
and I thought, ‘How could it be?’”
I believe he went on to state that I was only eight years old
at the time. At any rate, he looked at me and said, “Jimmy,
I now know that utterance in tongues and interpretation was
directly from the Lord. I know that by the grace of God you’re
going to touch this world with the Gospel.”
My dear friend passed away a few months later. The point
is, the Lord knows all things, past, present, and future.
ARISE, ANOINT HIM: FOR THIS IS HE
The Lord had spoken, and even though it would be
approximately 15 years before David would take the
throne, still, the Will of the Lord, which would be contested
greatly, was now being done. In other words, David, who
was a Work of the Spirit, was God’s Choice, while Saul,
a work of the flesh, was man’s choice. The difference is
overly obvious.
The Scripture says of David:
““… he was ruddy (red-haired), and withal of a
beautiful countenance (the Hebrew says, ‘with
beautiful eyes’), and goodly to look to (to look at,
handsome) …” (I Sam. 16:12).
It is believed that David was probably about 15 years of
age at this time. He was the youngest of Jesse’s sons, and,
apparently, Jesse thought it would be useless to bring him
before the prophet and the elders. However, he was
the one of whom the Lord had spoken. Generally,
those who are totally rejected by men are the very ones
whom God chooses.
THE ANOINTING
The Scripture says, “Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and
anointed him in the midst of his brethren …” (I Sam. 16:13).
This was Samuel’s last and crowning work. He would
train the man who more nearly than any other
approached unto the ideal of the theocratic king and
was to Israel the Type of their coming Messiah. It
was Samuel’s wisdom in teaching his young men
music which gave David the skill to be the “sweet
singer of the sanctuary.” We may feel sure also that
when David arranged the service of the House of
God and gave priests and Levites their appointed
duties (I Chron. 23:26), the model, which the Lord
set before him, was that in which he had so often
taken part with Samuel at Ramah, with, of course,
the Lord guiding it all.
THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD
The Scripture says, “… And the Spirit of the LORD came
upon David from that day forward …” (I Sam. 16:13).
This would be the means by which all things good
were accomplished in David’s life. As we have stated,
David’s name would be the very first human name
in the New Testament and the very last human
name in the New Testament. In fact, the Messiah
would be referred to as the “Son of David” because He
would come through the lineage of David’s family
(II Sam., Chpt. 7).

THIS IS A CONTINUATION OF FRANCES’ ARTICLE IN THE EVANGELIST FROM JANUARY 2014.
Hebrews 10:26 – “For if we sin willfully (the ‘willful sin’ is the transference of Faith from Christ and Him
Crucified to other things) after that we have received the knowledge of the Truth (speaks of the Bible
way of Salvation and Victory, which is ‘Jesus Christ and Him Crucified’ [I Cor. 2:2]), there remains no more
sacrifice for sins (if the Cross of Christ is rejected, there is no other sacrifice or way God will accept).”
THIS VERSE IS TELLING us that if we embrace the truth (Jesus
Christ and Him Crucified) and then move away from that truth,
as many have done and are doing today, we have committed
what the Bible calls “willful sin!” In the Greek, “willfull” is the
word “hekousious,” and it means “voluntarily.” In essence,
when one voluntarily transfers the object of his faith from the
Cross of Jesus Christ to something else, he has committed a
“willful sin” that will damn his soul because there is no other
way, sacrifice, or object of faith acceptable to the Lord. The
one-time sacrifice of His Only Begotten Son is the only sacrifice
God accepts as atonement for our sins.
BOOK OF HEBREWS
The Book of Hebrews was written to a group of Jews who had
chosen to place their faith exclusively in Jesus Christ and Him
Crucified, as they had come to realize that His Finished Work at
Calvary was the total fulfillment of the Law. Yet, due to religious
pressure and/or a lack of certainty in their freedom from the
Law, these Jewish converts began entertaining the idea that
perhaps they could add the old Law and Levitical sacrifices back
on to their faith in Christ. They failed to understand that adding
anything to their faith in Christ and Him Crucified, no matter
how “good” it might be, actually takes away from it. It’s like
combining chemical elements to create a new substance. This
is what was happening to their faith; its entire substance
was changing due to what was being added to it. We have
the same thing happening in the church today! Believers are
reverting back, observing old Jewish feast days and giving
offerings in honor of such. They’re even taught to expect a
special blessing from God in return. Negligent leaders are
guiding these people back into a system of works that was

clearly fulfilled and done away with through the life, death,
burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This change of faith
is “willful sin” and cannot be rewarded by God because it, in
effect, says that the Cross wasn’t enough.
“Knowledge” in the Greek (as used in Hebrews 10:26) is
“epignosis.” Strong’s dictionary describes it as, “recognition,
full discernment, acknowledgement.” By using this word, Paul
makes it clear that the “knowledge” he is speaking of reflects
an actual “saving knowledge” of our Lord, not just a shallow
historical notion of truth or mental ascent. Therefore, the
exhortation and warning is to Believers who had once accepted
the light of Jesus Christ and later rejected that light. Paul was
not speaking to sinners here, as many teach, but to Believers
who let go of the truth which once reigned in their lives.
UNCONDITIONAL ETERNAL SECURITY
Let’s look at the concept of “unconditional eternal security,”
which was taught by St. Augustine and later popularized by
John Calvin. The doctrine of “unconditional eternal security”
(in form, similar to the modern doctrine) was not conceived
until Calvin’s “Institutes of the Christian Religion” in 1536.
That is, the idea of “unconditional eternal security” did not
exist for the first 1,500 years of Christianity. The root of this
idea, which somewhat resembled the modern idea, can be
found in St. Augustine of Hippo’s teachings in 428 A.D. The
beginning of St. Augustine’s, “On the Gift of Perseverance,”
reads, “I assert, therefore, that the perseverance by which we
persevere in Christ even to the end is the gift of God.” Now,
we agree that the Bible assures Believers of eternal security,
but that security is not unconditional. Our faith must remain
steadfast on the Lord Jesus Christ and what He did for us at

the Cross. If we depart, having an unbelieving and, thereby,
evil heart in the sight of God, there can be no rest (salvation)!
Hebrews 4:10-12 states: “For he who is entered into His
Rest (due to what Christ did at the Cross, anyone can enter
into this ‘Rest’), he also has ceased from his own works (we
enter in by Faith, which refers to Faith in Christ and what
He did at the Cross), as God did from His. (God rested on
the seventh day when Creation was finished. And we can
Rest in Christ because the Plan of Redemption is finished,
of which God’s Rest was a type.)
“Let us labour therefore to enter into that Rest (could be
translated, ‘let us hasten therefore to enter into that Rest’),
lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. (This
tells us that the root cause of the ‘fall’ of any Believer is
unbelief, and it refers to unbelief in the Cross, which was
the True Mission of Christ.)
“For the Word of God is quick (alive), and powerful (active,
energizing), and sharper than any two-edged sword (refers
to the ability of the Word of God to ‘probe’), piercing even
to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints
and marrow (doesn’t mean the dividing asunder of soul from
spirit or joints from marrow, but rather that the Word of God
pierces the soul and the spirit, adequately proclaiming what
man ought to be and can only be in Christ; as well, the Word
of God portrays to us the Holy Spirit, and His Power, and
proclaims the fact that He Alone can ‘quicken our mortal
bodies’ [Rom. 8:11], which refers to giving us power to yield
this physical body to that which is Righteous [Rom. 6:12-13]),
and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart
(carries the idea of ‘sifting out and analyzing evidence’).”
The doctrine of “unconditional eternal security” is clearly
debunked in these verses.
PHILOSOPHY AND VAIN DECEIT
II Peter 1:3 states: “According as His Divine Power has given
unto us all things (the Lord with large handed generosity
has given us all things) that pertain unto life and godliness
(pertains to the fact that the Lord Jesus has given us
everything we need regarding life and living), through the
knowledge of Him Who has called us to Glory and Virtue
(the ‘knowledge’ addressed here speaks of what Christ did
at the Cross, which alone can provide ‘Glory and Virtue’).”
The choice is obvious from the Word of God: we either
trust Christ or we trust the humanistic wisdom of man. Paul
admonished us not to embrace worldly wisdom because, again,
it will not point us to the only sacrifice God accepts.
Colossians 2:8 states: “Beware lest any man spoil you
through philosophy and vain deceit (anything that pulls
the Believer away from the Cross is not of God), after the
tradition of men (anything that is not of the Cross is of men),
after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. (If
it’s truly after Christ, then it’s after the Cross.)”
In James 3:15, we see that this worldly wisdom does not come
from above (from God). Again, when we shift our faith from the
Cross of Christ to anything else, we commit the “willful sin” that
leaves us without the only way of forgiveness, without the only
expiation for our sins. If we have done this, we must repent
and once again place our faith exclusively in Jesus Christ and
Him Crucified. And the Lord will receive all who come back
to the Cross! Hallelujah!
WILLFUL SIN
A perfect example of this “willful sin” in modern times is the
development of the “social gospel.” In 1908, the Federal
Council of Churches (FCC), which is closely interconnected with
the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), laid the foundation by
issuing “The Social Creed of the Churches.” Unfortunately,
their craft would reach and alter generations to come within the
unsuspecting Protestant denominations. This radical report
contained widespread social planning controls, including
the reorganization of society’s wealth. The Federal Council
Bulletin urged its readers to propagate their social gospel and
to reject any notion of conflict between the preaching of the
traditional Gospel and the spread of their new Social Creed. In
other words, their new social gospel began to replace the true
message of Jesus Christ. Global planners knew that unless they
could secure a deep dedication to their vision, there would not
be enough motivating power to make it work so they cleverly
inserted it into the faith
to which the people
were already committed,
namely Christianity. It
was all carefully couched
in Biblical terminology. In
essence, they found a way
to combine religion and
state. Anyone against
the state could now be
defined as a “sinner.”
SINS AGAINST SOCIETY?
While they did mention the sin problem frequently, it was
usually referred to in the context of “sins against society”
rather than “sins against God.” “Regeneration” became
understood to be “a new social awareness.” They even
began to present Jesus as the living embodiment of their
ethical principles. The atoning work of Christ upon the

Cross was deemed practically insignificant and rarely ever
mentioned. The fundamental truth that humanity can find
peace with God only through “justification by faith” was
simply overlooked.1
Actually, the original CFR plan to create a social gospel
was part of a massive operation to change public opinion
favorably toward world government. The 1908 action by the
FCC outlined its program for transforming American society
into a Christian “collection” by applying the principles of
socialism as expounded by Walter Rauschenbusch. This
“kingdom of God on earth” would also need to be set up
according to the ecumenical ideal because they needed
to include every faction of religion possible. There was no
room for divisions among the faithful even if Biblical integrity
was compromised in the process. A unified church would
represent a sort of collectivist Protestantism patterned after
the medieval guild system.2 Here’s where we find another
“sinner” created by the social gospel — one who tries to
correct and/or separates from doctrinal error.
THE PURPOSE DRIVEN SYSTEM
Picking up where Dulles left off in 2002, CFR man and “pastor”
Rick Warren took the Christian church by storm and continued
to bring the Social Creed of Dulles smack into the center
of Christianity using savvy marketing principles. With the
“psychologized” religion of the “Purpose Driven” system,
he changed many professed Bible-believing churches into
consumer-friendly social centers of good works. He used
phony translations of the Bible, cut and pasted verses out of
context, and replaced the Biblical centrality of repentance
with his “Purpose Driven” lie, which actually appeals to sinners
rather than confronts their sin. Along with this butchering of
Scripture, Warren even exhorted listeners to avoid Endtime
prophecy, which is exactly the opposite of what Jesus taught
his Disciples. Replacing Acts 1:6-7, which states:
“When
“
they therefore were come together, they asked
of Him, saying (seemingly presents the last meeting
before the Ascension), Lord, will You at this time restore
again the Kingdom to Israel? (He would later answer this
question through the Apostle Paul [II Thess., Chpt. 2].)
A JUST WORLD SOCIETY?
Spearheading this effort was CFR leader John Foster Dulles
who predicted that the social structure of a “just world
society” would be modeled on the prototypes of totalitarian
countries like Soviet Russia and Nazi Germany.3 John Foster
Dulles, as one of the chief architects and propagators of this
Social Gospel movement, “became convinced that the use
of propaganda was essential in shifting public opinion in
America from its traditional isolationist stance to a new policy
of interdependence.”
In the ensuing highly-orchestrated campaign to change
public opinion, Dulles and other CFR moguls worked to
transform the ideology of the churches. Dulles authored
an essay printed in several publications entitled, The
Problem Of Peace In A Dynamic World. Commenting on
this Erdmann writes: “Dulles outlined the basic concepts
of peaceful change and attacked what he regarded to be
an unhealthy and obsolete concept of national sovereignty
… Human egotism could only be offset, he asserted, by
superseding it with ‘some sentiment more dominant and
gripping, which would contain the elements of universality
as against particularity.’ No other organization would be as
uniquely qualified to accomplish this task as the Church.
Dulles idealized the Christian Church as an exemplary
community which had demonstrated the ability to
transcend the limitations of the nation state.”4 His goal
was to motivate the churches to become actively involved
in building a global society.5

And He said unto them, It is not for you to know the
times or the seasons, which the Father has put in His Own
power (the Master is saying that it is not the business
of the followers of Christ to know this information, but
rather to ‘occupy till I come’ [Lk. 19:13]).”
And with his cut and paste insertion of Matthew 24:3. which states:
“And

as He sat upon the Mount of Olives (the coming
siege of Jerusalem by the Romans some thirty-seven
years later, began at this exact spot where Christ was
sitting), the Disciples came unto Him privately (out of
earshot of the many Pilgrims in the city for the Passover),
saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? (Has to do
here with the utterance He had just given concerning the
destruction of the Temple.) and what shall be the sign of
Your coming (refers the Second Coming), and of the end
of the world? (Should have been translated ‘age’).”
By replacing God’s instructions with his, Rick Warren is, in effect,
placing his word above God’s Word, which is blasphemy.

My recent article entitled “Guardians of the Gate” was taken from Verses 13 through 19 of
I Chronicles Chapter 26 and dealt with what was to be kept out of the Temple (evil). This
month’s article deals with what should be protected and guarded inside the Temple.
I Chronicles 26:20-27 – “And of the Levites, Ahijah was over
the treasures of the House of God, and over the treasures
of the dedicated things.
“As concerning the sons of Laadan; the sons of the
Gershonite Laadan, chief fathers, even of Laadan the
Gershonite, were Jehieli.
“The sons of Jehieli; Zetham, and Joel his brother, which
were over the treasures of the House of the LORD.
“Of the Amramites, and the Izharites, the Hebronites, and
the Uzzielites:
THE TEMPLE: GOD’S PRIORITY
One must understand that the most important work of the
Lord at this time was the building of the Temple, the residence
of the presence of God, which was Israel’s greatest strength.
Likewise, the presence of the Lord is still the most important
thing in the church today.
“And Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, was
ruler of the treasures.
As a believer, you must understand and know what God’s
priority is today for the church. If you don’t know God’s priority
for today, let me tell you: it is “evangelism” (Mark 16:15-18).
“And his brethren by Eliezer; Rehabiah his son, and
Jeshaiah his son, and Joram his son, and Zichri his son,
and Shelomith his son.
SPOILS WON IN BATTLE
“Which Shelomith and his brethren were over all the
treasures of the dedicated things, which David the king,
and the chief fathers, the captains over thousands and
hundreds, and the captains of the host, had dedicated.
“Out of the spoils won in battles did they dedicate to
maintain the House of the LORD.”
RECAP
David is growing old and Solomon will soon be king. Prior to
his death, the Lord has given the plans of the Temple to David

to be passed down to Solomon for its building. As stated
last month, no part of the Temple design was left to David or
Solomon. It was all of God and none of man.
I want to begin with
Verse 27: “Out of the
spoils won in battle
did they dedicate to
maintain the house
of the Lord.” The
spoils won in battle
refer to the treasure
(gold, silver, brass,
precious jewels) from heathen kings and nations. Most of the
treasure referred to was that which David took in battle in his
many conquests of pagan nations. (See I Chronicles 18:1-11)

TREASURE KEEPERS
The idea is that all these treasures, which in
many cases were in the form of idol gods,
were melted down to be used for the Temple
of God. This tells us for today, in the spiritual
realm, that there are going to be battles in our
lives. Sometimes we lose spiritual battles, but
remember, you can lose a battle but still win
the war.
When we lose a battle, faith is weakened;
however, when we win a battle, the spoils
are great. Faith is increased, with greater
confidence in the Lord, greater liberty in prayer,
a greater understanding of the Word of God,
divine healing, and material blessing. Simply
stated, our spiritual Temple must be built with
“spoils won in battle.”
TREASURE KEEPERS
Four times in the Text, the word “treasure” is
used, so by the repetition, we see the importance
the Lord places not only on the treasure but
also the importance of the “treasure keepers.”
These treasure keepers were Levites, just as the
“guardians of the gate” were Levites. Their sole
responsibility was to watch over the treasures
dedicated for the building of the Temple.
MEANING FOR TODAY
As the treasures for the Temple had to have
individuals to guard them and to keep watch
over them, so today there are treasures that
must be guarded. In fact, every single believer,
and especially every minister, is called to be a
treasure keeper. What are the treasures we are
to keep watch over today?
Those treasures are the great doctrines of
the Bible.
Jude, Verse 3, commands us to “earnestly
contend for the faith which was once delivered
unto the saints.”
Jude, Verse 4, tells us why we are to do this:
“For there are certain men crept in unawares,
who were before of old ordained to the
condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace
of our God into lasciviousness and denying the
only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.”
DOCTRINE
In too many so-called church circles, “doctrine”
is a dirty word. Doctrine is mocked, lampooned,
ridiculed, and called “divisive.” If you are in a
church that Bible doctrine is not stressed, you
are “spiritually and scripturally illiterate.”
Understand this: everything
in life and word is guided by
a doctrine. In math, there
is a mathematical doctrine
that must be adhered to.
In architecture, there is a
doctrine of building that
must be obeyed, or the
building will fall down. In science, there are
doctrines that are absolute, such as the law of
gravity: what goes up must come down.
There is no
salvation without

The word “doctrine” means literally “teaching”
or “instruction.” As it regards the Bible, doctrine
may be defined as the “fundamental truths of the
Bible arranged in systematic form,” or one can
define “doctrine” as “God’s Revelation of a truth
as found in the Scriptures.”1

doctrine of sin, or
the doctrine of man
being preached.
Let me put it this way: there is no salvation
without the doctrine of salvation, the doctrine
of sin, or the doctrine of man being preached.
There can be no healing without the doctrine of
divine healing being preached.
There can be no infilling of the Holy Spirit without
the doctrine of the Holy Spirit being preached.
One can go down all the great doctrines of the
Bible, and the same is true of all; without these
great truths being preached, the laity becomes
spiritually illiterate.
DOCTRINE IS DIVISIVE?
The mantra of the church today is “unity” and
“community.” The modern church growth
movement teaches that Scripture is divisive. It
separates and stops “unity” and is not appealing
to “community” because doctrine demands action.
However, there is no true unity without truth, and
the foundation of truth is the Cross of Christ and

»» The only means of being cleansed from sin is through
repentance and faith in the precious Blood of Christ (Rom.
5:1; Eph. 2:8-9, 13-18);
the Word of God. Doctrine is divisive to those who don’t want
truth. Truth exposes the false, and it also exposes those who
are enemies of truth.
»» Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for
personal salvation (Jn. 3:5-8; Titus 3:5);
WHAT ARE THE TREASURES WE
MUST KEEP GUARD AND WATCH OVER?
»» The redemptive work of Christ on the Cross provides
healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer
(Ex. 15:25-26; James 5:14-15; I Pet. 2:24);
As a believer, you must know the Bible and the doctrine it
proclaims. This is what I believe; this is my treasure that I must
keep and protect. I believe:
»» The Baptism with the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is
given to believers who ask for it (Acts 2:4; 10:44-46; 19:1-7);
»» The Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative
written Word of God (Ps. 119; Mat. 4:4, Lk. 24:27);
»» In the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by Whose
indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life (Rom.
6:3-14; 8:1-2, 11); and,
»» There is one God, eternally co-existent in three Persons: God
the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (I Jn. 5:7);
»» In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in
His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning
death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the
right hand of the Father, in His personal future return to
this earth in power and glory to rule one thousand years
(Jn. 1:1-4; Eph. 2:13-18; Rev., Chpts. 19-20);
»» In the Blessed Hope – the Rapture of the Church at Christ’s
coming (I Thess. 4:13-18);
»» In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one
to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation
(Rev. 20:5-6, 11-15).
In closing, are you a “treasure keeper”? Do you love and
cherish the doctrines of the Bible? That question is for you
to ponder and ask of yourself. I pray the answer is “Yes.”

For those of you who are not familiar with digital television, these are free “old fashioned TV channels” that are able to be picked up with a digital tuner
and antenna. Most new televisions are equipped with built-in digital tuners or you can purchase a tuner from your local electronics store (Best Buy®,
Radio Shack®, etc.). As well, you can purchase the proper antenna at your local electronics store. Many viewers under the broadcast signal of the
television station can use a small, digital antenna inside the home. For those on the outer edge of the signal or to receive the best signal, an outdoor

for a few years now, and are now Media Church members.
It’s not been easy saying this, but up until about a year and
a half ago, I was not a cheerful giver! I guess you could say
I was jealous of having to send money off that I thought we
could use for the next month. We have a small business,
and money gets tight sometimes. I can say that because
of your Ministry, Brother Jimmy, I am no longer a jealous
giver but a cheerful giver! Now I wish that I could support
SonLife Broadcasting Network (SBN) and you wouldn’t have
to have Share-a-thons — that’s how much I would love to give
now! Our business has increased and our youngest son will
be attending World Evangelism Bible College & Seminary

WAS “THE GREATEST EXPERIENCE OF OUR LIVES”

Conference in 2013 and it was the greatest experience of our
lives. We all were blessed beyond words and would like to

DEAR BROTHER SWAGGART, I just wanted to let you know
how much I love SonLife Broadcasting Network (SBN). I am
a Baptist, but I agree with everything you all say, and so does
my pastor. About a month or so ago I came home from work
and Donnie was preaching. He said, “If anyone wants the Holy
Spirit just do what I say.” I have been praying since I was 13
for the Holy Spirit. That day Donnie said, “Ask, believe, and
receive.” He said, “You have to open your mouth,” and I was
praying and asking God to fill me with everything He had and I
started speaking in tongues. I knew what I was trying to say, but
it was coming out in a different language. I praise God for this!

SAVED FOR 27 YEARS; BLESSED BY THE
LIVING WATERS PROGRAM WITH GABRIEL

you. This Friday I will be celebrating for God saving me 27
years ago. You were preaching in the L.A. Sports Arena in Los
Angeles, and that Saturday night I got saved. I have had some
tough times, but God has always been faithful. I have that
spiritual birth certificate hanging on the wall in my bedroom.

JOLT AWARENESS ABOUT DRINKING
the center Cross has become emblazoned in my understanding.
The result is liberating. My chains are gone! In a new dimension,
I understand the truth and what is true of me. You talk about
the Tree of Life? This is it! Everything flows out of the Cross. I
glory in it. I’ve been drawing from that artesian well called the
Cross, and anyone can too. Jesus said, “You will know the truth
and the truth will set you free.” The truth is that Christ died, was
buried, was raised, and is alive today. And what is true of Jesus
is true of me. I died with Him, but I’m also fully alive with Him.
I’ve entered into a new stage of my life. I’m enjoying the journey.
I’m enjoying righteousness. I’m enjoying peace. I’m enjoying
the joy of the Holy Spirit each day. I’m no longer waiting to
gain enough “maturity” to enter in. This glorious, transforming
inheritance is available to the newest Christian. Simple, childlike
believing, the realization that “it already happened,” is the door
of entry into all that’s ours through the Cross.

DEAR SISTER FRANCES, I was slowly but surely becoming an
alcoholic. But I saw Brother Swaggart’s teachings on SonLife
Broadcasting Network (SBN) on Good Friday. The messages
were so powerful and so true that I was jolted into awareness,
and I now wonder why I ever let a drop of that poison touch
my lips. Within a few days, my drinking friends all knew about
it, and know that I will not be drinking again!

SAVED AS A 7-YEAR-OLD AND

DEAR BROTHER SWAGGART, It was a school day in 1986,
at 7 a.m., and I was clothing my 5-year-old [daughter] for
school. In the meantime, my 7-year old-son was lying on the
floor watching a Jimmy Swaggart Bible teaching. A moment
later, he came to the bedroom where I was clothing his sister
(I usually turn the TV on to listen) and my son told me, “Mom
please ask for this booklet, “There’s a New Name in Glory,”
because I just accepted Jesus as my Saviour!” He is 34 years
old now; he has the little book and is walking with the Lord!

UNDERSTANDING OF THE CROSS IS
GLORIOUS, LIBERATING, TRANSFORMING
DEAR BROTHER SWAGGART, I’ve personally gone through a
true reformation over the past year. You know what happened?
The Lord allowed me to begin surveying the Cross. And as I
have focused my attention there – power, glory, satisfaction,
rest, wisdom, understanding, insight, ability, and great grace
have poured out of that instrument of death into my life. By
God’s Grace, I am in the midst of an explosive reformation of my
thinking. Suddenly Jesus Christ in all of His Glory hanging on

and I came across SonLife Broadcasting Network (SBN). I
watched it one time and I can’t stop watching it! The Holy
Spirit comes all over me, and I cry and watch and smile. And

a person could receive the Holy Ghost through watching a TV
program, but God has changed me, you all have changed me.

over a year now. I have heard y’all talk about the anointing of
the Holy Spirit in the music and in the services at Family Worship
Center, and sometimes I’ve doubted if it was even real. But for
the first time in my life, as last Sunday’s service began, and the
worship music started, I felt something that I have never have
felt in my life. I could not comprehend it at first, but I realized
this is the anointing I have heard of! When the Holy Spirit had
begun to move, I had no doubt that it was the presence of the
Lord. It was undeniable, and words cannot explain that holy
presence. It was amazing, and I understood at that moment
what you have all been saying, and now I know that it’s real
and God has called this Ministry to spread the Gospel, which is
the Message of the Cross. The Lord has called me to support

GRACE THAT TEACHES by loren larson
Titus 2:11-12 - “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared
to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should
live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world.”
CONCEPTS OF GRACE
The grace of God would be described by most
Christians as simply “unmerited favor.” While this
certainly is an adequate overview of God’s Grace,
it really explains very little as to the many faceted
aspects of God’s Grace. Brother Swaggart
describes God’s Grace as, “The goodness of
God given to undeserving people.” Webster’s
dictionary gives the following as a definition for
grace: “Unmerited divine assistance in one’s
regeneration and sanctification.” Always keep
in mind that it is impossible to work for grace.
Any thinking or action that contradicts this will
ultimately cut itself off from receiving grace. To
work for grace is a virtual impossibility. Grace
is something we receive that is freely given.
Grace is something that we can’t work for, don’t
deserve, and can never earn. Therefore, it is
impossible to “work for grace.”
THE HOLY SPIRIT AND GRACE
As I have already stated, there are numerous
aspects of the grace of God, but the one aspect
I want to focus upon is the aspect of “grace that
works.” If it’s true that grace “works,” then it must
also be true that grace is tied to or associated
with a person. That Person in the life of the
believer is the Holy Spirit. Therefore, the One

who works in us and conforms us to the image
of Jesus, and the One who brings the blessings
of God to believers, is the Holy Spirit. Based on
this theological surety, the active aspect of God’s
Grace should be clearly seen as the work of the
Holy Spirit in our lives.
GRACE AT SALVATION
The “grace of God that bringeth salvation” should
be thought of in this light: Jesus, in his initial
advent to this earth, paid the price at Calvary’s
Cross for everything that the human being would
need to be restored to relationship with the
Father. Again, at Calvary, everything was paid
for by Christ. Thus, salvation
was offered free of charge
outside of any work that the
human being can perform.
The believer’s responsibility
is the responsibility of faith.
When the believing sinner
expresses simple faith in the
finished Work of Christ, the
active grace of God and the
operation of the Holy Spirit
begins. He first circumcises
and recreates the interior
of the new believer. This is
dramatic. This is climactic.
At Calvary,
everything was
paid for by Christ.
Thus, salvation
was offered free
of charge.
GRACE THAT TEACHES
This brings a “new genesis’ into the interior part of the believer.
A love for God is formed, forgiveness of sin is acknowledged,
and the power of the sin nature is broken. All of this and
more is the work of the Holy Spirit at the split second of true
conversion. Hallelujah!! Eph 2:8-9 “For by grace are you
saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the
gift of God: (9) Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
GRACE THAT TEACHES
Paul goes on to say in Verse 12 of our Text that God’s Grace
doesn’t just save us, but rather that God’s Grace has the
ability to teach us. This indicates that the need for grace and
the process of grace must be embraced and understood far
beyond the salvation experience. We are in need of God’s
Grace and the effectual working of the Holy Spirit every single
day. In Galatians 2:8-9, Paul states that it was the grace of
God working effectually in Peter and working mightily in his
own heart that was changing the man who had once denied
Christ, as well as the man who had at first persecuted the
church. In I Cor 15:10, Paul says, “But by the grace of God
I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon
me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than
they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”
In our Text, Paul states that grace teaches us! It reveals what
we are to deny, and it teaches us what to embrace. However,
remember, the only way to access the active grace of God
is through properly placed faith. As we daily deny our own
strength and ability to change and empower ourselves, we
are truly denying ourselves. As we learn more and more to
depend upon the finished work of Christ, the active grace of
God and the effectual working of the Holy Spirit will find the
freedom to save, teach, and purify the saint. This is the only
process given to us in Scripture by which we as believers can
grow. It is all about faith and grace. As we trust in the Cross,
the Holy Spirit is free to flow like a river and do what no man
can do. The active grace of God changes us and empowers
us to live the truly victorious Christian life! All of this is through
simple faith in the Cross!

Walking after the flesh and walking after the Spirit are little understood in the church
world today, especially when it comes to our youth groups and our youth pastors. Many
do not understand what it means to walk after the flesh, or how to properly walk after
the Spirit, which is what we will address in this article.
Walking after the flesh is
the dependence on our
own personal strength,
ability, education,
motivation, and religious
efforts to overcome sin
in our lives.
Rom. 8:1 – “There is therefore now no
condemnation (guilt) to them which are
in Christ Jesus (refers back to Romans
6:3-5 and our being baptized into His
Death, which speaks of the Crucifixion),
who walk not after the flesh (depending
on one’s personal strength and ability or
great religious efforts in order to overcome
sin), but after the Spirit (the Holy Spirit
works exclusively within the legal confines
of the Finished Work of Christ; our Faith
in that Finished Work, i.e., “the Cross,”
guarantees the Help of the Holy Spirit,
which guarantees Victory).”
WALKING AFTER THE FLESH
First of all, let us look at the phrase, “who
walk not after the flesh,” and let us ask
the question, “What is the apostle talking
about when he mentioned ‘the flesh.’”
Before we answer that question, let us
understand that the Apostle Paul used this
term “flesh” more than 90 times in his 14
Epistles, including the Book of Hebrews,
which I believe he wrote, and just about half
of those times, Paul is using that term in a

negative connotation. So, the Holy Spirit
places preeminence on something that, if
not properly understood, will cause untold
problems in our Christian lives.
So what is “walking after the flesh?” Walking
after the flesh is the dependence upon our
own personal strength, ability, education,
motivation, and religious efforts to overcome
sin in our lives. Now understand, these things
in and of themselves are not wrong, but they
become wrong when you try and use these
things to overcome sin in your life, which
will result in complete and utter failure. In
fact, this automatically guarantees failure,
no matter how determined or sincere the
person may be. Victory over sin cannot be
experienced by our reliance on our abilities.
The reason is, God never intended for us to
overcome sin in our lives by means of our own
ability. If that were the case, then Paul would
say that “Christ died in vain” (Gal. 2:21).
By placing our faith in the doing of these
things, we are, according to the Holy Spirit,
“frustrating the grace of God,” which is simply
the goodness of God given to undeserving
people. The grace of God flows to us and

can flow in us on an unending basis as long as we
look to Christ and what He did at Calvary on our
behalf, which then gives the Holy Spirit the ability
to work in our lives in the way that He so desires.
By our looking to other things, no matter what
they might be, we then frustrate the grace of God,
which means that the grace of God we so need in
our everyday lives and living, ceases. As well, the
Holy Spirit cannot bring about the work He desires
to do in us when we look to something other than
Christ and the Cross.
DOMINATION
Let’s break this down a little bit more. The word
“walk,” which Paul uses here, simply means to
“order one’s behavior.” In a sense, it refers to how
we live for God, and nothing can be more important
than that. Also, the word “after” in the Greek has its
root meaning “down,” which speaks of domination.
In other words, if we order our behavior by means
of the flesh, which is our own ability and strength,
we will be dominated by the sin nature, which
will result in a failing Christian experience. As a
Believer, Christ has stated that we have before us
“more abundant life,” but in reality, most Christians
are not enjoying this more abundant life.
SPIRITUAL ADULTERY
When the Christian tries to live an overcoming,
victorious life by means of the flesh, we are, in reality,
committing spiritual adultery. What this means
is that we are married to Christ, as a result of our
faith in what Christ did at Calvary at our salvation
experience. As a result, we are to be faithful to Him
in all things, which means that we are to look to
Christ to satisfy the needs in our lives. But if we are
looking to other things to meet the needs in our lives
— no matter what they are — we are committing
spiritual adultery. Understand this, we are to look to
Christ for all things: to meet our needs and supply
our needs according to His riches in glory. Christ is
the author and the finisher of our faith (Heb. 12:2),
and we are to look to Him for all things, no matter
what situations lie in front of us, or the mountains
that surround us, Christ can push those mountains
down, and make a way where there seems to be no
way. However, by looking to something other than
Christ and the Cross assures our complete failure.
“TRY HARDER”
When a person is struggling with something in their
lives, no matter what it is, it is a devastating thing
to go through. Nevertheless, if that Believer does
not understand the grace of God, or how to live for
God by means of the Cross, then the only fallback
we have is to “try harder.” I can remember many
years ago, before I understood the Message of the
Cross, I was approached by a young man who was
indeed struggling with something. Now this young
man loved God, and he wanted to live for Christ
to the best of his ability, but there was a serious
struggle weighing him down. What that thing was I
will not say, nor embarrass the young man. He came
to my office with tears running down his cheeks,
explaining to me the seriousness of the situation. I
sat there stunned, and I did not know what to say
to this young man, so I gave him the standard, “you
must try harder.” His reply left me speechless. He
spoke up and told me, “I’m trying as hard as I can.”
He left my office that day with no answer, and soon
fell completely into that particular bondage.
Listen to me very carefully: if you, as a Believer, do
not understand how to live for God according to the
Bible, then no matter how hard you try, you will fail.
There is only one answer to living an overcoming
Christian life according to the Bible, and there is
only one way that we can enjoy this “more abundant
life” which Christ spoke of, and that is by placing
our faith in Christ and what He did at Calvary. This
is what walking after the Spirit is all about.

When establishing the Illuminati, Adam Weshaupt revealed the long-term goals of his secret society.
He wrote: “The true purpose of the Order was to rule the world. To achieve this it was necessary for
the Order to destroy all religions, overthrow all governments and abolish private property.”
GOALS
PROCESS
History supplies us the necessary evidence that Weishaupt’s
goals were in operation after his death by his faithful followers.
In the late 19th century, Henry Edward Manning, archbishop
of Westminster, England, wrote that the Communist
International was, “The work of secret, political societies,
which from 1789 to this day (1886) have been perfecting their
formation … is now a power in the midst of the Christian and
civilized world, pledged to the destruction of Christianity and
the old civilization of Europe.”
Weishaupt knew that in order to rule the world: “It is necessary
to establish a universal regime and empire over the whole world.”
In order to rule the world, one of the long-term goals of the
Illuminati was to eliminate Christianity. Weshaupt knew he
could not discredit Christianity, so he set out to dismantle
the effects of the Christian lifestyle in society by gradually
removing its moral constraints. The attack on the economy,
family, personal proper ty, nationalism, and education
became possible through the strategies of gradualism and
revolution. As a philosophy, gradualism is defined as a theory
maintaining that two seemingly conflicting notions are not
radically opposed, but are related by others partaking in
varying degrees of the character of both. Gradualism is
the doctrine that social change should be brought about
within the framework of existing law. In other words, longterm goals can best be achieved by pursuing incremental
steps rather than triggering instability that accompanies
abrupt change. Karl Marx argued against gradualism, but
called for the working class to violently overthrow the
existing social structure. Marx did not believe that the
road to socialism would be accessible by following existing
laws. Lenin embraced Marx’s ideas and became the winner
in the Russian Revolution as the head of the new Russian
Communist government.
How could a New World Order arise? What would be necessary
for mankind to adopt and then adapt to the necessary changes
Weshaupt and his secret society desired? Judeo Christianity and
Islam have shaped a large population of the world he intended to
dominate. To reach the mass population of people and address
their struggles Weishaupt would initially imbed his mysteries into
Freemasonry. The objective was to portray the “old theology”
as insufficient and hopeless. Manly P. Hall, a well-known
33rd Degree Mason, wrote in his book, “Lectures on Ancient
Philosophy”: “A new day is dawning for Freemasonry, from the
insufficiency of theology and the hopelessness of materialism,
men are turning to seek the god of philosophy.”
Hall would encourage the faithful followers where and when a
new day was coming: “A new light is breaking in the east; a more
glorious day is at hand. The rule of the philosophic elect-the dream
of the ages-will yet be realized and is not too far distant.”
Has the time that Hall spoke of begun? Modern New
Age teacher and author Benjamin Creme wrote this in his
book, “The Reappearance of the Christ and the Masters of
Wisdom”: “The new religion will manifest, for instance, through
organizations like Masonry. In Freemasonry is imbedded the
core of the secret of the occult mysteries.”
NEW AGE RE-VEILED
The means of communication by Illuminati devotees is through
secret codes and symbolism. They are hidden throughout
society in plain sight. In the book, “The Spirit of Freemasonry,”

it says, “A symbol veils or hides a secret,
and is that which veils certain mysterious
forces. These energies when released can
have a potent effect.”
Satanist Alice Bailey said: “The hour of
mysteries has arrived … These ancient
mysteries were hidden in numbers, in
ritual, in words, and in symbology; these
veil the secret.”
In Freemasonry, the extensive symbolism, rituals and secrets are not fully
comprehended by initiates and outsiders. The explanations given to appease
any curiosity are feigned by the architects
to conceal their hidden meanings. The
concealed language of Freemasons was
once given by a former Sovereign Commander: “The word reveal means to ‘reveil,’ that is, to give one explanation and
yet continue to maintain the mystery of
the symbol by not explaining it in full and
complete manner.”
There are many interconnected organizations that cooperate together to address
the ills of mankind. At their meetings they
discuss various good works and ways to
improve human life on earth. Although
they appear as champions of social justice
and human rights, they are the ones who
control and cause much of the suffering in
the world. We are distracted by their talk
and isolated outward good works, but
blinded to their long-term objective. Their
objective is to foster the dawn of a New
Age with a New World Order.
COOPERATION
From its beginning, a variety of people
and organizations saw the value of having
a One World Order. The Illuminati story
begins with an agreement between
Amschel Mayor James Rothschild and
Adam Weishaupt. Rothschild was said
to have gathered 12 influential friends
to pool their resources together so they
could rule the world. Weishaupt was
selected by Rothschild to lead the project.
Soon after the plan was set in place,
John Robison, a professor at Edinburgh
University in Scotland, published a book
entitled “Proofs of a Conspiracy” in which
he reveals that Weishaupt had attempted
to recruit him. Approximately 20 years
later, George W. F. Hegel formulates his
Hegelian Dialectic. Advocates to the
Illuminati storyline believe the Hegelian
Dialectic is the process by which Illuminati
objectives are met. The process of thesis
plus antithesis equals synthesis. In other
words, first you incite a crisis. The public
outcry to resolve the problem is followed
by a predetermined solution that the public
would not have initially accepted without
the crisis. For example, for Americans
to give up their Second Amendment
rights, a tragic shooting occurs and the
public outcry is the need for more gun
control. The goal from the beginning was
to have gun control. Justifying the goal
first requires public acceptance to occur.
Another recent example may be 9/11
and Islam? The list is long and wide of
examples that could be used.
MONEY
Although the various players, and their
organizations, cooperated on policy and
process, they still lacked the mechanism
that could affect people in every area
of life on a practical basis. What was
the missing ingredient that had to be
included to guarantee their success?
Money! Rothschild, who sought to
control the International banking system,
said: “Allow me to issue and control the
money of a nation, and I care not who
writes the laws.”
The central banking system would
present the most ambitious means to
control the money of the world. Europe,
especially England, was already using
a centralized banking system. In the
U.S., the young nation debated this
idea. The debate ended with a split
decision. The split decision created the
two-party system we now have today.
In the United States under President
Washington, Secretary of the Treasury
Alexander Hamilton wanted to establish
a national bank fashioned after the
Bank of England. Acting secretary of
state under Washington was Thomas
Jefferson. He opposed Hamilton’s idea
of a centralized bank for a strong federal
government. Jefferson’s group called
themselves Democratic Republicans.
Hamilton and his group called themselves
the Federalists. The Federalists sought to
protect the country’s infant industries.
The Democratic Republican party drew
its followers from planters and small
farmers. The Federalists of old are known
to us today as Republicans, and the
Democratic Republicans as Democrats.
Satan is known as the god of the world
system. His workers of iniquity are not
easily identified because they appear
as angels of light. Only the light of the
Gospel can correctly examine their works
to see if they are of God. The Illuminati
and Secret Societies use a name that
speaks of light but is nothing less than
darkness. We can expose their evil works
with the light of the Gospel:
“And
“
this is the condemnation, that
light is come into the world, and
men loved darkness rather than
light, because their deeds were
evil. For every one that doeth evil
hateth the light, neither cometh to
the light, lest his deeds should be
reproved. But he that doeth truth
cometh the light, that his deeds
may be made manifest, that they
are wrought in God.” (John 3:19-21)
Paul gives us instruction to avoid and
not partake of those who operate in
darkness and secrecy:
“And
“
have no fellowship with the
unfruitful works of darkness, but
rather reprove them. For it is a
shame even to speak of those
things which are done of them
in secret. But all things that are
reproved are made manifest by the
light: for what doth make manifest
is light.” (Ephesians 5:11-13)

THE ENTIRETY OF THE WORLD
That is our field, the entirety of the world. I realize that is
quite a task, but yet, that which we believe God has called
us to do. And yet, as I say over and over again, without
you, we simply could not do anything. However, working
together, there is no limit to what can be done, especially
with the guidance and empowerment of the Lord.
Please allow me to give you a little more information as to
what I think the Lord is doing.
FOREIGN COUNTRIES
I have a list of every country in the world and how many
people in that respective country who speak English. You
would be surprised at how many do speak English.
Even if only 25 percent in a country speak English, thereby,
understanding it, the Lord can use our programming even
though it is in English. Let me explain.
Out of those in that respective country (whichever it might
be), who speak English, there are a few who know the Lord.
I believe those few will tune in to the programming. In
fact, it is certain that they will do so. When they hear the
Message of the Cross, the Lord is going to cause some of
them to preach this Gospel, this Good News.
For those who understand English, but yet, they aren’t saved,
some are going to give their hearts to the Lord, and again,
God is going to call some of them to preach the Gospel, which
they will do in their own language. That’s the reason that
we are trying to get the programming established in every
country of the world, at least where the door will be opened.
THE MOVING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
I am expecting the Holy Spirit to move as never before very
shortly. I am speaking of an anointing, plus the convicting
power of the Spirit, that alone can penetrate the shell of sin
that incarcerates every unbeliever. Only the Spirit of God
can penetrate and pierce that shell. I have asked the Lord
for certain things in this arena, and I believe that He has
promised me that it would be done.
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
As many of you have already heard me say, and I will say
again, the following is what you as a Believer can do:
»» I need your faith. I want you to believe God with
me that He will do great and mighty things. I need
your faith.
»» I need for you to pray for us, even on a daily basis.
I know that some few of you are intercessors, and I
depend on you to help roll back the tides of darkness.
»» I need for you to tell others about SonLife Broadcasting
Network. It would be and will be one of the greatest
things that you would do for anyone.
»» Then, I need for you to give of your financial resources
as the Lord would lead you to do so. In fact, for
multiple thousands of you, Family Worship Center
is your church, and to be sure, we are glad to have
you. So, I’m asking you to support it as you would
any other church, and even more so because of our
worldwide effort.
INCIDENTALLY
Every one of you needs to have a small Christian library
containing books that will help you in your faith and,
above all, to understand the Word of God a little better.

these Commentaries are not made to be read like other
books, but yet, we have scores of people who do just that
— they read them just like they’re reading any other book.
To be sure, anyone who takes the time to do that will
have a greater understanding of the Word of God, I
think, than ever.

backgrounds to reach the world with the Gospel of
Jesus Christ. It was realized that when Churches and
Ministries band together under the anointing of the
Holy Spirit to attack the strongholds of Satan, much
can be accomplished.
This is the reason World Evangelism Fellowship was
formed – to channel the efforts of Churches and
Preachers from all over the United States, Canada,
and the world into a unified, proven plan to reach the
lost and dying with the Good News of the Gospel.
