Thank you for the comments, questions and suggestions. We want to assure you that we are looking into all issues, and will be working hard toward resolutions. All About HASA Our Mission Statement HASA, guided by our Catholic faith and traditions, supports the mission of St. Sebastian School by fostering communication, building community, and enhancing the educational experiences of the students. HASA fosters communication by: - Holding meetings to update parents about what is happening in the school and give parents a chance to bring their ideas to the table - Publishing a monthly online newsletter full of helpful information about the school and upcoming events HASA builds community by: - Sponsoring the Monster Mash Mother-Son Halloween Dance - Coordinating Santa Shop so that children can buy gifts for their families for Christmas - Having fun family nights throughout the school year - Recruiting parent volunteers to help with various events and projects - Sponsoring the Father-Daughter Dance - Organizing Teacher-Parent prayer partners for the year - Providing appreciation gifts and meals to the staff HASA enhances the educational experiences of the students by: - Purchasing needed items for the school for which the school may lack funds - Providing each teacher with a stipend to purchase items for their classroom - Stocking a supply closet for the teachers with common supplies that they need - Helping to fund special projects such as refurbishing school bathrooms Fundraising Funds needed to support the mission of HASA are generated through only two fundraisers: The first is Go Cards, a reusable discount card created especially for St. Sebastian school that can be purchased by family and friends. The second is the annual Walk-a-Thon which is an activity packed day for the students including a walk. Each family is asked to provide names of family and friends so that sponsorship letters can be sent out.
