Rainy Day Activity-Making Paper
Boats
The little ones of Foundation,
Nursery, K.G soaked themselves
in light drizzling rain and sailed
their paper boats made in
attractive colours in puddles on
1 July when the rain gods
showered their blessings on us.
Raag Malhaar
The raag welcoming the
rains”Raag Malhar” was
introduced to the students of
classes 1 to 5. Mr. Babbal
narrated the story about how
the “Raag “ came into being to
the children.
Matching Activity on Smart Board
The children of Nursery and K.G were
delighted to experience an activity
on matching on the smart board. The
smart board activities have now
become a part of their everyday
schedule when it comes to learning
poems, letters or numbers.
Splash Pool
On 5 July The toddlers of ATS
Valley School had a
gala time while splashing in the
pool to beat the sultry heat.
The kids enjoyed this activity .
PPT– How it Rains
How it Rains ? On 9 July a power
point presentation was presented by
Ms. Shipali for students .
Through this and some related
worksheets the children got an
insight on various aspects of how
rain is formed.
Making Stick Puppets
On 12 July the students
made “Stick Puppets”. They
were excited to name their
puppets. The puppets made by
the children were vivacious and
bright in colour.
Visit To Traffic Park
On 10 July I went to the Traffic Park with my
school mates in the school bus. After reaching the
traffic park our teachers took us to a room. The
head of the traffic police told us some traffic
rules. They showed us a movie about traffic rules
and after watching the movie they also showed
the video clipping on accidents. Our teachers took
us back to the bus and we ate our tiffin . I loved
this trip very much and learnt so many things
about traffic rules.

Celebrating Monsoons
Monsoon Day was celebrated at school on 19 July 2013 .We did many different things. First there was a
“Monsoon Quiz” but our team didn’t win. Then we ate “Bhutta” which was very yummy. After that we also ate
bhelpuri made by Ms. Neetu and Ms. Sumitha.The bhelpuri was so tasty that I had two servings of it. Then
we went to the music room and Mr. Babbal taught us about “Jal Tarang”.The last activity was monsoon art
with Miss Monika. We made marble paintings in the art activity. Each painting was lovely.
Harman Class 5
Pranayam
On 22 July the children of
Foundation ,Nursery and K.G
progressed a step ahead in
their yoga lesson.The
children were taught a few
wellness “aasans” along with
basic breathing techniques.
Spelling Bee
The students of class IV and
V were engrossed in the
Spelling Bee competition on
24 July 2013. It involved
learning the correct spelling
of words and their use in
sentences and in multiple
contexts. They had fun while
practicing the spelling of a
range of simple English words.
Maths Day Decorate your-T-Shirts
We celebrated Maths Day on 26 July,
2013. The students of Classes I to V
decorated T- shirts cut outs made out of
newspaper. The students of classes I &
II used fluorescent paper of different
shapes to make geometrical patterns on
the T-shirt cut outs.
Maths Quiz
Maths quiz was conducted by
Ms. Shipali on 29 July 2013.The
children of classes 1 to 5 were
involved in some
logical reasoning and
mathematical questions. The
participation had a full
response.
Shape Day
The children of Foundation, Nursery and K.G tried their little hands at colouring and making
different patterns with shapes. What fun they had !!!
Creative Math
An activity based on Creative Math was held for class I
to V. The children of class I made designs using the cut
outs of various geometrical figures. Geometrical figures
used in daily life were explained to classes 2and 3.
Classes IV and V did math multiplication table tricks
using patterns on Tic-Tac Toe squares. The children
enjoyed the different methods used for math .
