Reliable in all weathers –
the ibeo LUX Laserscanner for the automotive sector
The ibeo LUX Laserscanner is characterized, in particular, by its robustness in all
weathers. The ibeo LUX scans and measures simultaneously on four parallel layers necessary, for example, to compensate the rocking movements of a vehicle or to
detect slopes.
In addition, up to three consecutive reflections can be detected per measurement
and per layer - at a distance from 0.3m to 200m. It can thus dependably work
even under the poorest environmental conditions (e.g. snow, rain, etc.). It
operates reliably in all weather and light conditions.
Instead, the sensor housing is accommodated in a compact construction allowing
direct integration into the vehicle.
The ibeo LUX Laserscanner provides a comprehensive description of its surroundings
in the form of objects with their relevant properties - position, speed, type of object
(vehicle, pedestrian or cyclist).
Applications that can be supported by the ibeo LUX:
•
ACC Stop&Go
•
PreCrash
•
Pedestrian protection
•
Low-speed collision avoidance
•
Automatic emergency braking
•
Intersection Assist
