Music & Entertainment
Constant entertainment will be
highlighted by the New Plainsmen
on Thursday, The Coalgate Country Showdown and Byron Berline
on Friday, and country music star
Lacy J. Dalton on Saturday night.
Great entertainment will be available all day Saturday. Come early
& stay late.
Shopping & Browsing
Visit Festival Sales, the many vendor booths, or the terrific Downtown businesses.
Children's Activities Parade, turtle
races, coloring contest, sack races, and
more for youngsters.

Show &
Sale
Native American Events As headquarters of
the Choctaw Nation, Durant will showcase the
history and folklore of the Choctaws. The
Princess Pageant features young ladies displaying traditional dresses and talents. Through
their colorful dance movements, the ANOLI
Indian Dancers tell stories rich in Native
American heritage that always delight the
audience.
Parade
Children are welcome to participate in a walking parade down
Main Street.
Artisans Show & Sale A variety of artwork and an array of
handmade items can be enjoyed and purchased. Visit the
Massey Building on 2nd & Main Street to get out of the heat.
Other
Car Show, Antique Tractor Show,
great festival food, Magnolia Scholarship Pageant, and much more
can be enjoyed during the Festival.
Plus there is lots of shopping opportunities on Main Street.
Historic Walking Tour Learn about the history
of the community. Tour ends at the Three Valley
Museum housed in a beautifully restored
machine shop and service station at Fourth &
Main. Enjoy their Native American displays and
transportation exhibits.
The City of Magnolias is home to
Southeastern Oklahoma State University,
the Medical Center of Southeastern
Oklahoma, and the Choctaw Nation—-with
Lake Texoma only a few miles away.
See splendid Magnolia trees in full bloom as
you tour Durant. Known as “The Campus of
a Thousand Magnolias”, Southeastern
Oklahoma State University first opened its
doors to students on June 14, 1909. The
Oklahoma Shakespearean Festival has made
its home at Southeastern since 1979.
Historic Downtown Durant is home to the
world's largest peanut, City Hall, Three
Valley Museum, and locally owned shops to
create a wonderful “Hometown Shopping
Experience”. Durant's unique blend of history, recreation, culture, shopping, and
healthy business climate makes it a perfect
destination for leisure or business.
