You can too! In addition, we have been invited to park some Packards in the KCAM “Drive-In Theater” setting. The museum will have room for us to display six Packards for a one-month period, which would be a nice addition for the museum and great exposure for our club and our favorite cars. If interested, please contact Tom Norman. 3 Pross Tid Cross (not surprisingly he went by P.T.) was a resident of Lathrop, Missouri during the early years of the 20th Century, an attorney practicing in Clinton County, as well as Democratic Missouri State Representative for his district. He eventually became the Democratic Party leader in the Missouri House of Representatives. In 1915, Cross was injured just outside of Liberty, Missouri, along with several others, during a head-on collision of Burlington #4 coming out of Kansas City and Rock Island #3 inbound from Chicago. However, in spite of his mechanical mishaps, he lived to the age of 93, passing away in 1969. Mr. Cross tells his story of his first experience in motoring, and the trip that he and his wife, Nina, undertook in 1904, only 2 months before his election to the Missouri State Legislature: Article from “The Horseless Age,” Sept. 28, 1904 4 Official Missouri House of Representatives Portrait of P.T. Cross, 1906 5 The 2014 Art of the Car Concours Once again, the Kansas City “Art of the Car” concours was a wonderful show held on a beautiful day. Steve Christy hit the lawn with camera in hand, and found not only a few lovely Packards, but some Packard people, too! Dick & Sue Boswell drove down from Lincoln, Nebraska with their friends, Jim & Karen Snyder (Dick and Jim are pictured below) and all the way from Iowa were Russ & Marj Bees, seen on the next page (photo courtesy Dick Boswell). 6 Photos courtesy Steve Christy 7 Kansas City Automotive Museum Grand Opening! 8 FOR SALE!
