YOUR UNIQUE WEDD ING CEREMONY
Through popular demand, couples are now able to have their
wedding or civil partnership ceremony right in the heart of one of the
finest parks in the country. The parks offer a truly romantic setting and
stunning backdrop for your ceremony and photographs. We extend a
warm welcome and invite you to come and visit us to discover all the
attractions of a Wedding in the Park and discuss your individual needs.
You will have a choice of an outdoor or indoor ceremony at three
beautiful locations within Avenham and Miller Parks:
The Belvedere is a spectacular colonnaded listed building. From its
elevated position in Avenham Park, this historic structure provides a vista
over acres of parkland to the River Ribble and beyond.
The Rose Pagoda in Miller Park is set close to the banks of the River Ribble
and has magnificent views of the classical fountain and formal parkland.
The Pavilion is a stunning award winning modern building with the verdant
backdrop of the Avenham Park viewed through its vast panoramic windows.
Our three venues are wheelchair accessible.
Your ceremony can be followed by a drinks reception and delicious
wedding breakfast provided by our very own catering team located
within the Pavilion building. Please ask our staff for further information.

YOUR WEDD ING CEREMONY
All three of our venues
within Avenham and Miller
Parks are licensed for
civil ceremonies. We also
offer non-civil ceremonies
including wedding
celebration ceremonies,
vow renewal and baby
naming ceremonies provided
by an experienced local
independent celebrant.
YOUR WEDD ING CEREMONY
The Belvedere is an ideal romantic setting and is licensed for 60 guests inside
but as many as you like outside. You can even have your own flag flying on
the flagpole! Here, classical architecture with roman arches and panoramic
views, provides a remarkable setting for your ceremony and you will be able to
capture many memorable photographs of your special day.
The Rose Pagoda in Miller Park is a beautiful location and is licensed for 40 quests with as many guests as you like outside. The Pagoda is situated on a
lawned area where your quests can stand or be seated; you could even hire
deckchairs!
The Pavilion building is licensed for up to 130 guests for a civil wedding
ceremony. Following your wedding ceremony at the Belvedere or the Rose
Pagoda, it is possible to book the Pavilion as a venue for your wedding
breakfast and evening reception.
We offer non-civil ceremonies in the same venues with added choice of the
Lower Terrace at the end of Avenham Walk with its magnificent views of the river
and also the Japanese Garden for outdoor ceremonies.
The possibilities are as endless as your imagination at Avenham and Miller Parks. A low key ceremony followed by a picnic,
afternoon tea or fish and chips. Or something more lavish and bespoke like a horse and carriage ride through the Parks to
your ceremony, set with complete venue styling followed by bucks fizz and canapés, a wedding breakfast and an evening
reception with twinkling fairy lights and lanterns.

Naming Ceremonies
We offer naming ceremonies in all three of our locations within Avenham and Miller Parks. The child can be any age and it is
an opportunity to make promises to your child before your family and friends. You can ask friends or relatives to dedicate their
commitment to play a special role within your child’s life.
You can end your ceremony with an afternoon tea or a three course meal. Our fantastic venues are a perfect setting to
celebrate your new arrival, introducing your baby to family and friends in a beautiful relaxed environment.
Vow Renewal Ceremony
Whether you are wishing to celebrate a significant anniversary, publicly declare your love to your partner or have been married
abroad and wish to celebrate on your return home, this is the place to come. All civil partnerships or married couples can arrange
a vow renewal ceremony at any of our venues within Avenham and Miller Parks.
Your vow renewal ceremony can be held indoors or outdoors during the summer season. It can be a large event or an intimate
gathering with your close family and friends. It is a great way to celebrate the journey you have been on as a couple declaring
your love, affection and commitment to each other and bringing all your family and friends together to celebrate.
Arrange a meeting with our Ceremony Co-ordinator to discuss your requirements and they can give you guidance on
your celebrant, food and venue dressing to make your celebration special.

Bookings are split into summer timetable (April - September) and winter timetable
(October - March). The Belvedere and Rose Pagoda are not available for civil
wedding and civil partnership ceremonies during the winter period.
We provide some venue dressing to co-ordinate with your own colour scheme for
the day. However, you are welcome to provide us with your own materials and items
which we can use to dress the room to your own design. Alternatively, we are happy
to work with any room stylist you may wish to appoint.
The Pavilion function room is approved for 130 guests maximum, (including the
Registration staff, the venue duty manager and any photographers, musicians etc.
who may be present).
The Belvedere is approved for 60 guests inside and the Rose Pagoda for 40
guests inside (including celebrant and registrar). There is no maximum for the number
of quests observing the ceremony from outside each of these buildings.

To follow the ceremony, why not
consider staying on in this wonderful
setting for your very own private
party in the park for just the afternoon
or well into the early hours?
The experienced Pavilion Café catering team
can provide a fantastic selection of food and
drink packages that you and your guests will
love. If your ceremony is to take place at the
Belvedere or Rose Pagoda, we can arrange a
drinks, canapé or afternoon tea reception in the
private space around your outdoor wedding
venue immediately after the ceremony.
Avenham Park Pavilion is fully licensed and
available to hire until 1 in the morning. The
team would be pleased to assist guests with
any special dietary requirements. Exciting 3
course dinner menus are available for smaller
weddings and buffet menus, offering a great
range of hot and cold food to suit all tastes,
are available for weddings of up to 70
guests. A children’s menu and vegetarian and
vegan options are also available.

if you would like to arrange an appointment to view
our facilities and venues or to discuss your enquiry
further.
Once you confirm your date, you will be required to pay a non-refundable deposit and
you will be sent a letter of confirmation and contract to sign.
The deposit required on confirmation of your booking is 50% of your total ceremony
venue hire fee plus, if applicable, 50% of your total evening venue room hire fee. The
balance of ceremony venue and/or Pavilion reception venue hire fee is payable 2
months before the date of your wedding.
The finer details of your wedding arrangements will be discussed and confirmed with
you at an appointment with our Ceremony Co-ordinator around 2 weeks before your
wedding. If you are having a reception with us, all food and drinks packages must be
finalised, ordered and paid for in full no later than 14 days before your ceremony date.
All payments made are non-refundable or transferable.
Exclusivity
Avenham and Miller Parks are
open to the public.
However, our wedding hire
packages will give you and your
guests exclusive use of the main
room in Avenham Park Pavilion and
a section of the Pavilion’s riverside
terrace for up to 2 hours following
an indoor ceremony. For outdoor
weddings, the Belvedere or the
Rose Pagoda and immediate
surrounding area are kept private
for yours and your guests’ exclusive
use throughout the ceremony and
for up to 2 hours afterwards.
Exclusive use of the full Pavilion is
available from 4.30pm in the summer
season and from 3.30pm in the
winter.
