Message From Partners
As we begin the start of the 2nd quarter of the new year, our event volumes will start to increase and holidays like Mother’s Day, Memorial Day,
Father’s Day and 4th of July will dramatically increase the amount of
work we all have to do. With this increase, it can sometimes be easy to
overlook some of the details required to make sure we execute a
successful event. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality services
and want to be sure that everyone remembers that all events count. With
the increase in our reporting capabilities and the visibility that our clients
have into how we execute, I want to be sure that everyone keeps a few
keys items in mind as you start to complete your schedules.
Please remember to:
• Always check-in with the account manager at your location.
• Arrive 15 minutes early to all events.
• If you’re doing a retail event, always walk the store to look for case
displays. We are tracking product inventory levels very closely for our clients and
need to make sure this number is as accurate as possible.
• Submit your recaps within 24 hours of completing your event
• Sell, sell, sell. At the end of the day, our goal is to move product and create
brand recognition. Sales is the primary indicator of success here. In order to sell
you must know your product and you must talk to and engage consumers!
We are looking forward to a great 2016 and can’t do it without everyone’s help. We appreciate your hard work and thank you for being a part
of BARetc.

Tip of the Trade
How to handle an event
from beginning to end!
Arrive a few minutes early to set-up your
station and prepare/review your notes.
Keep track of samples and sales.
Hide anything that shouldn’t be seen
by consumers or in photos (cell phone,
paper towels, notecards, etc.).
Use open-ended greetings to attract
patrons to your station like, “What
brought you in today? What are you
looking for today?”
Reply by offering them a tasty sample of
the product you are serving and
continue the conversation with specifics
about the product.
Ask for the sale! “I’m glad you enjoyed
(insert product name here)! Would you
like to go ahead and take a bottle? You
can have one right off my table!”
Follow with a photo of your happy
customer!
Stay positive and professional even if
something tricky arises.
Clean up your area and thank the
management upon your departure.
Ask them to rate you on
AccountFeedback.com.
Submit your event recap within 24 hours;
including 5 excellent photos and
receipts.

Exciting news about
our new and upcoming
web portal!
As many of you may know, we’ve been actively
working on a new Event Management Platform. This
effort has been in place for the last 9 months and
is now in the final testing phase with a plan to start
rolling out later this year.
This system is a completely new development from
the ground up and is owned by BARetc. You won’t see
this tool in use with any other agencies that you may
work with. It’s been tailored to the way we execute
promotions and will feature many new ways of
working and tracking a successful engagement!
Some of the key features of the system include:
• Built-in Training from our new online Learning
Management System
This will allow all Brand Ambassadors to review online
courses on their phones and computers and take a quiz to
ensure brand knowledge. This information will be stored
in the Brand Ambassador profile so you only have take the
course once per brand.
•
Brand Ambassador Event Login
This feature will allow a brand ambassador to “Check-in” to
their event and confirm their location using the
built-in geolocation services on your mobile phone. This
will eliminate the current requirement to send a text to
your Event Manager and allow the manager to better
manage their resources in the field.

our new and upcoming
web portal! (Cont.)
More of the key features of the system include:
•
Built-in Mapping and Directions
Brand Ambassadors will now be able to get directions
to their event and see traffic conditions from their
location to the event in order to optimize their travel
route. The system will now also show current weather
conditions for the location and date of the event.
• POS Tracking
The new platform will now keep track of any POS items
a Brand Ambassador has received for prior events. This
will allow the Event Manager to prioritize event
schedules and save shipping dollars by giving priority
booking to team members that already the aquired
POS items.
These are just a few of the features found in the
new system. Advanced reporting, POS tracking,
account management features, and many other
items our clients have requested will allow us to
take BARetc to the next level!

Elena Tilvaldieva
Elena loves her job and has a great time doing
it! We asked her to share some wisdom she has
gained from her experience as a Brand
Ambassador. This is what she had to say!
What are your top sales tips?
• I love what I do and do it with passion. I always
come to my tastings a little earlier to set up and
tag my picture on social media and let people
know to come and try the product I am sampling.
• It’s always important to deliver 5 selling points
of any product. What it tastes like, how it’s
finishing, alcohol content, and what you can pair
with if its a wine tasting and of course a Big Smile
sells!!!
What are the advantages of being an
ambassador?
As I said, I love what I do. Sometimes you can get
negative people who may not like your
product, but don’t let it get it to you. Smile and
say, “Have a Great Day!”

Megan Stoner
Stoli & Bayou Rum Account Manager
Megan is a jack-of-all-trades! From managing some of
BARetc.’s biggest accounts to sourcing and altering BA
uniforms, we are still trying to find something she can’t do.
She brightens up the office with her quick wit and infectious
laugh, we are definitely lucky to have her on our team!
How long have you been working at BARetc.?
I joined BARetc. they day before my 30th bday in 2014! Good
grief, I’m getting old...
What do you do in your free time?
I’m a fashion designer when I’m not working with amazing
people at BARetc. I recycle thrifted materials and make them
into cuter things I can wear. I also like to get dirty in the
woods with my pitbull when the TX sun is blazing.
Favorite beer/cocktail/shot?
Beer-Blood & Honey
Cocktail-Jalapeno juice, OJ, and bourbon
Shot-Bayou Rum Satsuma with White Chocolate Godiva
Liquor
Why do you love BARetc.?
Growing with this company has been fun, flexible, stressful,
enjoyable, random, difficult, and most importantly,
rewarding. From working closely with our clients, to frequent
telephone chats with our Event Managers, daily gut-busting
laughs with our Headquarters team, and even silly emails
from our Brand Ambassadors, I adore each soul that
comprises our BARetc. family! I genuinely feel at home here.

SAMANTHA JARRELL
Bio:
I’m a 22 year old student from the University of
Texas at Dallas. I was born in West Virginia and
managed to escape to civilization with my
family at age 5. I’ve largely grown up in the DFW
area since then. I’m not-so-secretly a huge nerd.
I love videogames! I will be graduating in May
and I’m super jazzed to finally be finishing up
my Marketing degree.
Favorite Cocktail/ Beer?
I actually tend to prefer ciders when I can find
them. My go to right now is Woodchuck. For
cocktails though I really enjoy a margarita while
eating chips and salsa on a Saturday afternoon.
Favorite type of cuisine?
I love asian food more than I love life itself.
Vietnamese pho is something I could eat every
day of the week. I’m a bit obsessed with finding
good places to get sushi as well. I recommend
trying Korean bulgogi if you’re a BBQ fan!
Why do you love working at BARetc.?
The culture! I’ve worked at a variety of places and
had past internships too. BARetc has the most
fun-loving and friendly culture of any place I’ve
been at.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Oh no. I’m not good at these types of questions. I
see myself working very hard though and making
some of my first grown-up purchases like houses
and cars. Is it bad that I’m actually pretty excited
about getting older? The thought of going furniture
shopping excites me.
Where do you see BARetc. in 5 years?
I definitely see the markets we have a presence in
expanding. Maybe even going international? I’m
not an expert, but the success of the company is
very apparent.
We found our
kitty, “Boo”, on
Halloween.
Bio:
I am 23 years young and I go to the Univeristy
of North Texas in Denton. I will graduate with
a degree in Advertising and have studied for a
minor in Business Marketing. My goal is to graduate in December 2016. I really enjoy spending
time with my family, cooking, and playing board
games. Print design is fun for me, and I like to take
pictures of everything.
Favorite Cocktail/ Beer?
I love me a mojito, yum so refreshing, lots of mint
please!
Favorite type of cuisine?
Quinn Conway
Bio:
I am a student at Southern Methodist
University. I was born and raised in Dallas and
love it here still. I am majoring in marketing at
SMU and am in my Junior year. I keep myself
pretty busy.. Additionally, I bartend and am a
sales associate at a health food store. and have
a secondary internship.
Favorite Cocktail/Beer?
Old Fashioned/ Local beers, if I’m drinking
cheap then Lone Star.
Anything that tastes good. I don’t ask questions,
just let me try it!
Favorite type of cuisine?
Why do you love working at BARetc.?
Why do you love working at BARetc.?
My very first internship and I love it so much. Everyone
here is so accomadating, and nice. The enviornement
is laid back and diligent at the same time. It also helps
that I have fun while I’m here.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I see myself gaining more experience at a location I
have been working at for a few years. I will have established my position and found my ulitmate strength in
the office and will begin my journey of fine-tuning my
talents in the workplace.
Where do you see BARetc. in 5 years?
BARetc. will continue to acquire big names in their
portfolio, which will grow their brand awareness
nationwide. BA positions will be highly sought after.
Continued success in the industry will result in a
busier, bigger, more-awesome-than-it-already-is
headquarters
I mostly just eat at burger places or wing places.
I love the laid-back and fun work
environment within the office. It makes it a fun
but productive place to get work done.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I either want to be working for a major marketing firm or I am contemplating the idea of
trying to go to law school for business law.
Where do you see BARetc. in 5 years?
It seems like the growth is pretty fast- paced. I
see them being a major player in brand
promotion across the country.
My fur baby,
Tom Brady,
“Tommy”.
