Nojo Grab some charcoal! Today we`re grilling side by side with Chef Nate of Nojo as he
shows us the secrets to make tender, Japanese skewers and a few other of his
personal favorites! Betelnut
The Head Chef of Betelnut invites us to cook Pan­Asian fare with him! Right in his
kitchen during a bustling servce, we`ll cook up some of the most popular dishes at
the restaurant! Drop-off: Nojo SF, 231 Franklin St, San Francisco, CA 94102

*We will start our journey at Nojo then take a bus over to Betelnut!
Day 2: Market-Inspired Cooking
Tuesday, March 31st

The Ferry Building Farmer`s Market
We`ll start out the day with a scavenger hunt at the Ferry Building Farmer`s Market,
where we`ll meet up with a farmer or two that`ll teach us tricks for shopping and
cooking in season. We`ll put their tips to the test as we split into groups and pick out fresh
produce for our afternoon cooking frenzy! We`ll even squeeze in some free time to shop
and explore the market on our own. Then, the grand finale! A picnic lunch where we`ll
enjoy the meal we prepared with the head chef of Betelnut the day before! WingTip Private Restaurant Lucky us! We landed an exclusive invitation to Wingtip, a members­only restaurant and
club in downtown SF! Normally closed to the public, the chef will make an exception for
our budding chefs and welcome us into his kitchen for an insider`s peek. No notebooks
allowed as he divulges some of his best­kept secrets in the kitchen. We`ll use our market
ingredients to make elegant dishes plated professionally with Chef Matt`s fancy plating
techniques.

Day 3: Retro American
Wednesday, April 1st

Burritt Room
Head Chef Luke will let us join his team to cook up a retro mix of classic and innovative
recipes! He`ll have our budding chefs testing out funky flavor profiles and challenging
their palates!
Bluestem Brasserie
We`ll be hanging with the chef of Bluestem Brasserie, who will teach us how to whip up
restaurant­caliber dishes that you can make at home to impress your family and friends! Drop-off: Burritt Room 417 Stockton St, San Francisco, CA 94108
Pick-up: Bluestem Brasserie 1 Yerba Buena Ln, San Francisco, CA 94103
*We will start at Burritt Room then walk over to Bluestem Brasserie
Day 4: Innovative Classics Thursday, April 2nd
11-5:00pm
Flora
We`ll be cooking with the head chef of Flora, focusing on re­inventing classics ­ with a
twist. One of Sprouts`favorite chefs, he`ll keep the kids on their toes with his kitchen
humor and fast­pace style!
Lungomare The head chef of Lungomare will dazzle us with his brick oven and a modern approach to
Italian fare! Right on the water on Jack London square, the kids will be cooking with a
view!

Day 5: Sweets `n Sunshine

WOW Urban Farm
Chef Rico of Flora is sending us on over to his No.1 supplier of local produce! Come check
out the urban farm that grows veggies for Flora and other local restaurants. The farmers
will welcome us with a tour and invite us to harvest with them! We might even get to cook a
thing or two alongside our new farm friends, right in the fields!
Sweet Bar
We`ll finish the day with somethin`sweet with the head baker at Sweet Bar! Pastry Chef
Flynn will have us rollin`up our sleeves and rollin` out some dough! Did you know that
Michael Jackson`s private chef started this cafe?

*We will start our culinary adverture at WOW then take the bus over to Sweet Bar for some
sweeeet treats!
Day 6: Rollin`Intro Argentina
Saturday, April 4th

Venga
We`ll be jammin` with the owner of Venga in SF`s hoppin` Mission district! He`ll teach
us how to make hand­made empanadas just like in Argentina! Drop-off/Pick-up: Venga 443 Valencia St, San Francisco, CA 94103

alongside our Chefs! Sprouts` parents, sisters, brothers,
and friends are all welcome to order a to-go box that the
kids prepare with the chef! This can be enjoyed at the
restaurant or brought home for dinner! Your choice - you
can decide on the go! We love the grab-`n-go meal concept
because kids learn to share their cooking with others, create community around their
culinary skills, and boost their culinary confidence! Not to mention, this closes the gap
between cooking in class and cooking at home! Proceeds support our Chef-in-training
Program!
