Precision Stamping
& Deep Drawing
A variety of stamped and deep drawn parts can be produced
on presses up to 1000 ton capacity. Our in-house tool and
die facility provides precision tooling for both simple and
complex metal parts. We specialize in prototyping and
short-to-medium production runs, producing parts from
aerospace alloys including: stainless steels, nickel alloys
and titaniums, etc. Other secondary operations include:
blanking, piercing, coining and swaging.

With certified GMAW and GTAW capabilities, Voss has the
welding expertise to join conventional and exotic alloys; we
are also ASME welding certified and NADCAP accredited.
Automatic seam welders are utilized for joining metals
using consistent high-quality longitudinal welds up to 48
inches long. Voss also features the area’s largest certified
resistance spot welding capability for volume production
of componenets. We also have nickel, copper, and silver
brazing capabilities.
Specializing in roll-formed rings, Voss has been been
producing roll-formed shapes since our founding in 1957.
We design and produce all tooling in-house for both
symmetrical and non-symmetrical ring cross sections
ranging in diameters from 2 inches through 12 feet. Custom
roll-formed rings and straight shapes are made from high
performance alloys, including: stainless steels, nickel alloys
and titaniums from 0.020 to 0.186 inch thickness.
Voss’ fabricating and assembly capabilities enable us to
furnish you with components that have been machined,
welded, brazed and riveted—all to your specification
and all under our control. Over 300 different production
and process machines allow us to perform all these
operations with unmatched attention to detail throughout
the production process for prototypes and short or long
production runs. Voss’ fabrication and assembly expertise

Aerospace Fasteners
Axial-load bulge forming is the most advanced technology
for producing sheet metal components from superalloy
materials. Voss Aerospace bulge forming presses can
maintain uniform wall thickness up to 0.250 inch thick with
tolerances of ±0.001 inch, depending upon material. Bulgeformed components can be produced up to 24 inches long
and 36 inches in diameter. Intricate parts as small as 1/4
inch diameter and 0.008 inch material thickness can also
be accomodated.
Voss CNC machining capabilities encompass state-of-theart milling and turning centers, as well as wire EDM; enabling
Voss to provide precision, one-of-a-kind prototypes through
high quantity production runs. We have the capacity and
flexibility to produce a wide range of high quality parts. Our
extensive experience ranges from machining parts from
aluminum to difficult-to-machine superalloys such as nickel
625 and 718, and everything in-between.
Voss Aerospace performs a variety of in-house coating
and finishing operations, including industrial and MIL-Spec
painting and dry-film lubrication. Finishing quality is ensured
through proper preparation and peretreatment of parts.
Painting is done in a temperature-controlled atmoshpere
and features a variable-speed, conveyorized paint line,
enclosed spray booths with filtered air and an inline, infrared
baking oven. Larger or racked parts utilize a 12 foot wide
spray booth, plus a walk-in, gas fired convection oven.
We are the only company in our specialty of clamping and
coupling devices to manufacture our own fasteners to
stringent industrial and aerospace standards. Since our
founding, Voss has produced fasteners from alloy steels,
stainless, A286 alloy and nickel alloy 718 for our full line
of products. In-house metallurgy and testing laboratories
are utilized to monitor each heat lot of wire throughout all
production steps to the finished fastener. This expertise is
now available to the Aerospace Industry for production of a
variety of specialized or custom fasteners.
