Welcome to a New School Year!
Welcome to a new school year! We are excited to service our teen parents. Our district and teen parent
staff are dedicated to the success of all students.
We serve all female students referred needing pregnancy related services once identified. Teen parents are
served throughout completion of graduation with parent related services. Pregnancy Related Services
(PRS) are support services, including Compensatory Education Home Instruction (CEHI),that a student
receives during the pregnancy prenatal and postpartum periods to help her adjust academically, mentally,
physically and stay in school.
As the TPRS Coordinator, I am here to serve our district and our community. I am located in the ECISD

My name is Mrs. Rose Valderaz. I have been in
Education for 27 years. In those 27 years I have
worked with all ages ranging from three to adults
in College. While working in education, I have
been, volunteer, secretary, teacher aid, teacher,
counselor, Principal, Vice Principal, Assistant
principal, Director of Virtual High School, Director
of Academic Acceleration Academy, and currently
Coordinator for Teen Parent Related Services.
I have a wealth of knowledge that I bring to this
position and feel privileged to work with a
wonderful team. All of my staff brings their love
of service to each other, to students and parents.
We appreciate the opportunity to help our
students reach their goal of graduation and of
continued learning in college.
Statistics say that fifty percent of teen age parents drop out of school.
I am very proud to let you know that we have beat the odds. All of
our senior girls in our program graduated. Our district is so
supportive and has so many opportunities for our students.
If you know of a student or family in need of assistance, please let us
know. We will do all we can.
Reaffirming the organization’s presence and commitment to
acknowledging, serving, and shrinking the percentages of teen
pregnancies and to foster healthy relationships between the parents
of these babies.

What do Homebound Teachers do?
The goal of homebound services is to keep the student current with classroom instruction and
facilitate the student’s return to the current classroom setting.
The goal of homebound instruction is to
keep the student as current as possible with classroom instruction. It is expected that the
family and school will minimize academic work missed due to absences prior to the initiation of
homebound services.
