Instructions for filling in the Application form
1. The Application form should be filled in by the candidate in his/her own handwriting.
2. The Application form should be complete in every respect. Incomplete application will be rejected without further communication.
3. As per N.C.T.E. Entrance rule Appendix 4,3.2(a) the eligibility for B. Ed admission is 50% marks in graduation/post graduation or equivalent examination from a U.G.C. recognized University or Institution. Therefore candidates with less than 50% marks
should not apply.
4. Entrance Examination forms can be obtained from the college office on payment of
Rs.500/­ in cash, between 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. or can be downloaded from the
website: www.patriciancollege.in. Downloaded application can be sent along with a
D.D for Rs.500/ drawn in favour of ‘Patrician College of Education’ payable at
Dehradun through Speed Post to the College address. 5. Last date for submission of filled in application forms is 01, June, 2012.
Instructions Regarding The Entrance Test. The examination will be conducted in two sessions. 1. The first session – Paper I­ 09.30 a.m. to 11.00 a.m.
Paper I consists of general Knowledge and teaching aptitude. There will be 100 objective type questions with multiple choice answers of one mark each.
a. General Knowledge will be related to Basics of Arts and Science, Current Affairs and
Sports. b. Teaching Aptitude will consist of basic Educational Psychology and principles of
teaching.
2. The second session­ Paper II­ 11.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. Paper II consists of 50 objective type questions on General English, grammar and three general essays.
a. There will be three general essay type questions out of which two are to be attempted. b. Each essay should be answered in 200 words on separate answer sheets that will be
provided.
