STEEPED IN HISTORY Run on Less is the fuel race that never happened. In 1911, Commercial Car Journal came up with the idea of a crosscountry competition for commercial vehicles, to find out which vehicle and which driver was the most fuel efficient. 105 years later, it's on... Driver versus driver, fleet versus fleet, this race will highlight the fuel-saving technologies that are changing the trucking industry for good. Six fleets will go head-to-head, hauling real freight, and trialing different efficiency technologies with America’s best fuel in a sixstage, national tour. HIGH VISIBILITY • The starting gun will fire in Los Angeles. The fleets will traverse America’s “silk road” via Salina, UT; Denver, CO Kansas City, MO; Fayetteville, AR; and Indianapolis, IN before the grand finale in Washington, D.C., with highlights shown on big-screen TV. • Each leg will celebrate a winner with checkered flag and winner’s podium. • Experience the passion of the grueling six-day, crosscountry haul through our Gran Turismo-style virtual race monitor station, equipped with live in-cab video and virtual fuel and technology monitoring, as well as truck, driver, and technology data. • Experts will provide commentary on state-of-the-art truck design and what it takes to be America’s best driver and fleet.
