2014 RANGERETTE AUDITIONS
The Rangerettes dance team perform with the Ranger Band at all home and a few away football games and at
home basketball games. Rangerettes are eligible for a scholarship for the fall & spring semesters.

Meeting – (Auditions are closed; all
family, friends, and guest will be
asked to leave)

Instruction of jazz routine

Instruction of high kick sequence
7:00 PM
Performance of jazz and high kick
in small groups

First cut

Instruction of pom/hip hop routine

Meeting, warm-up, and review
9:00 AM
Final Auditions begin consisting of
individual interview, group jazz/high kick sequence, group pom/hip hop
routine, and individual demonstration
of 3 dance skills (triple pirouettes, toe
touch, splits, barrel turns, split leaps,
axils, Fouette turns/turns in second,
leaps to second, extensions, etc)
Noon 2014 Rangerettes announced followed by a team meeting
ATTIRE
Dancers are encouraged to wear dance wear
such as sports bra, tank top, dance pants,
dance shorts with nude tights, and dance
shoes. Oversized t-shirts are discouraged.
