Pops FAQ`s - The Winston School
Kick up your heels for a special evening
for a special school!
Park Savoy in Florham Park
Thursday, March 3, 2016
Pops Winterfest is Winston’s annual signature fundraising event to
raise critical funding to provide the materials and resources for our
students with language-based learning disabilities.
All proceeds directly impact our teachers and students. In order to
achieve our goal of $50,000 this year, we are asking for help from
our community through sponsorship and/or a donation to the Live
and Silent Auction.
Winston invites you to DONATE an auction item, become an
EVENT SPONSOR, and/or ADVERTISE in the event program.
Live Auction hosted by Nick Dawes of PBS “Antiques Roadshow”
The Winston School’s Spring Charity Event – POPS Winterfest 2016
at The Park Savoy, Florham Park, NJ on Thursday, March 3
Our Mission:
The Winston School educates students who, though
intellectually capable, have had difficulties in school
typically due to language-based learning disabilities.
The goal of The Winston School is to enable our
students to meet, with confidence, the academic and
social challenges of life.
School Enrollment: 80 students (2-8 grade)
Geographic Profile: Students come from two states (New
Jersey and Pennsylvania) and represent 7 counties in New
Jersey.
Outcomes: Students transition from Winston School to
mainstream boarding, private and public schools typically in
8th grade. Over 90% of students go on to attend college.
Students often attribute their success in high school and
college to the confidence and skills learned at Winston.
With 200 – 250 parents and friends in attendance, the Pops Gala is
Winston’s largest fundraising event and we rely on the entire Winston
community to make it a success. In order to achieve our
goal of $50,000 this year, we are asking for your help.
Auction Items: Please donate to the Live auction
and/or Silent auction.
