Scoilnet also has designated
sections for teachers, students,

There are two Resource Finders at primary level, one
for teachers and one for students. Both select resources
from the database according to syllabus topics and
sub-topics and may be sorted by rank or most recently
added. Resources are reviewed by teachers teaching
the Irish curriculum and are presented with this in mind.
Reviews include learning outcomes, extension activities
and, where relevant, special needs notes.
4. Special Needs Factsheets

Needs_Factsheets.shtm
The Search function is located on all pages within
the site. Enter a keyword and a list of weblinks,
images and articles will be retrieved. Scoilnet Search
gives access to the following sites/databases:
Imagebank - Approx. 3,000 images of Irish
places and spaces
European Learning Resource Exchange

Aside from a large database of resources Scoilnet has several
other engaging sections specifically created for primary teachers
and students. The most popular of these are as follows:

Resource Finder, highlighted resources, news, Special Needs factsheets, research
and more.
Primary Students Homepage (www.scoilnet.ie/StudentsPrimary.aspx)

themepages, the student Resource Finder, the colouring corner and a point of
access to Storytime.
Storytime (www.scoilnet.ie/StudentsPrimary.aspx)
Storytime encourages students to publish their stories and focuses on
improving students' vocabulary, reading, writing and critical thinking skills. Each
week a top story is selected and published.
Themepages (www.scoilnet.ie/Primary_Themepages.shtm)
The themepages present a creative collection of cross curricular and seasonal
resources that highlight strands or strand units. Examples include Vikings,
Romans, Energy, Print, World War II, Electricity, Theatre, Reading and Shapes All
Around Us.
Interactives (www.scoilnet.ie/interactive.shtm)
Interactive timelines, images, maps, drag-and-drop and matching activities
for various areas of the curriculum are accessible. These feature video, audio,
