Welcome to The School of Hairdressing
The School of Hairdressing (TSOH) is a City & Guilds Approved Centre, delivering extremely high standards in hairdressing
courses. Using our own unique philosophy and approach to hairdressing as our benchmarks we offer a wide range of
courses including those on the industry regulators curriculum, so whether you want to either completely master the
profession or simply kick start your career we can help.
Our qualified tutors are well grounded in every aspect of the industry and are also able to assess your current skill level
on which to structure an individual Learning Plan that is tailored to your specific needs. They will expertly pass on their
knowledge and skills to help you achieve your goals, get you where you want to be and help you to be one of the best.
Our courses range from hairdressing courses for complete beginners, enabling you to achieve your NVQ Level 2 and Level 3;
refresher courses to enable you to brush up on current skills; and short specific courses covering areas of the trade such as
cutting, colouring or barbering.
Our training academy is based in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire but only 15 minutes from King Cross Station, and only 1.5 miles
from junction 24 of the M25 making us easily accessible from all London boroughs and surrounding areas.

FULL TIME COURSES
20 Week NVQ Level 2 City & Guilds Certification
Our 20 week Ladies course is the finest on offer in the industry and the best that
you can give yourself to start your career. On this course you will be instructed
on all aspects of the NVQ Level 2 curriculum, together with the techniques
on which our philosophy is founded, by the latest generation of our qualified
professionals.
9 Week Ladies Cutting & Colouring
The 9 Week Ladies Cutting & Colouring course covers all aspects of Ladies
Cutting as well as beginners colouring.
5 Week Beginners Cutting
This particular course is divided into six stages lasting four or five weeks and
covering all the aspects needed to provide you with a fast track route to
hairdressing success. The content of each stage changes as you progress
through the course and assignments are set to monitor progress at regular
intervals.
Barbering Courses
This course teaches you everything you need to know about men’s hairdressing,
instructing you on the very latest trends and techniques, as well as how to tailor
and adapt them to various hair textures and individuals.
26 Week NVQ Level 2 Ladies & Barbering City & Guilds Certification
This is a 20 Week NVQ Level 2 ladies course and incorporates a further 6 weeks
of barbering.
REFRESHER COURSES
Refresher/Confidence Building Courses
Whether you’ve been out of the salon for some time or just feel the need to
touch up or enhance on your current skills, our refresher courses are great for
giving extra confidence and getting you ‘in the know’ of up-to-date techniques
and trends. We offer refresher courses in ladies styling, cutting, colouring and
barbering. Your tutors will give you all the help you need to give yourself a fresh
approach to the industry or update the skills you have previously acquired.
ADVANCED COURSES
Advanced Cut and Colour
Fashion and trends are constantly evolving and this plays a huge part in
hairdressing! The School of Hairdressing runs an advanced cut and colour
course that changes and updates its content as the world of fashion does.
In this course you will learn how to interpret up and coming trends, allowing
you to give your clients the latest looks that will get them complimented and
you recommended.
