MY LIFE’S JOURNEY HAS TAKEN ME
TO PLACES AROUND THE WORLD.
With my adventurous spirit, I want to
continue to experience life through
the eyes of my child. I love to travel
and learn about other cultures. I have
always been artistic and have found
many creative outlets along the way,
from decorating to simply capturing
moments through photography.

or nearly 15 years I have promoted California’s
state capital as a cool place to visit. As a
marketing manager, my job allows me to express my
creativity through tradeshow design, event planning,
and producing videos and marketing materials. As
a long-term employee and working for a familyfriendly organization, I’ll have the flexibility to take
time off to spend with my child.

I would also like to teach my child the
importance of helping others.
I volunteered with a humanitarian
group to deliver food and blankets,
and teach health classes to the
children and staff in the orphanages
of Kenya, while fitting in lots of
playtime. I can see my child playing
hand in hand with children from
around the world.

live a healthy lifestyle. I enjoy working out,
cooking, and getting outdoors. I love to
travel including weekend getaways. Growing
up, summer vacations with my family were
a highlight. We hit the road in our camper in
search of KOA campsites. Swimming, eating
smores, and singing songs made those trips
unforgettable and that is an experience I want
for my child.
I enjoy live theater, art galleries, and concerts.
It’ll be so much fun to watch my child’s face
light up when the characters on stage come
to life, or boogie to the sound of a live band
playing at the neighborhood park.

I live in a charming
house surrounded by families with children.
My home is around the corner from the
neighborhood park, schools, and the community
center, which offers a variety of activities for
children.

I have a passion for interior design and I’m a
huge fan of HGTV. I’m also an event planner
whose favorite holiday is Halloween. Every
year I transform my home into a kid friendly
haunted house, which is Spooktacular. I also
love playing with my two kitties. Abby likes to
chase the laser beam around the house, while
Hannah plays hide-and-seek during bedtime.
I’m looking forward to seeing my child run
around giggling uncontrollably with a toy
mouse and two cats in tow.

acramento offers big city amenities, but
has a small town charm. It’s known as the
City of Trees and America’s Farm-to-Fork
Capital. Surrounded by farms, rivers, and
parks, the recreation activities are endless for
my child, from planting and picking produce
at an agricultural camp to kayaking down the
river. I also want to give my child opportunities
to explore and learn through our history and
science museums, kids’ theater, and nature
centers. Being centrally located in California,
we’re less than two hours from the mountains
and the ocean. I can’t wait to build a snowman
and sandcastle with my child!

My parents have been married
for 48 years and are my
role models on how to love
unconditionally. They are both
retired, live close by, and are so
excited to be grandparents and
help with daycare. My sister,
who we already call “Auntie
Tam Tam,” can’t stop buying
baby clothes. Her excitement is
expressed through onesies and
mini Uggs.
I also have a special connection
with a group of girls I met in
college. Our 20-plus-yearfriendship is so tight I consider
them my sisters. We’ve
been through each other’s
milestones including the birth
of a baby, and they can’t wait
to welcome this little one into
the group.
My child will know their parents – the ones who
gave them life and the one who nurtures them.
I’ll help develop my child’s independent and adventurous
spirit by giving them every opportunity this life has to offer,
while providing a safe, happy, and structured home. With
a background in recreation, I do want my child to play,
laugh, and explore. I’m so excited to experience my child’s
precious moments, from speaking their first word to college
graduation.
Unconditional love and open communication will set the
foundation for a happy and successful life. I want you to know
my entire life will be devoted to this child.
