This also includes Alignment Systems systems for automatic process control and quality assurance that are integrated directly in your production process. PRÜFTECHNIK consists of the following three business areas: Condition Monitoring Nondestructive Testing 3 Laser measurement systems and services for the following applications Measurement systems and services for machine maintenance Systems and services for quality assurance and process control in production Shaft alignment Data collectors Eddy current testing equipment Bore and bearing shell alignment Vibration analyzers Flux leakage testing systems Straightness and flatness measurement Online continuous monitoring systems Turnkey testing tables Roll parallelism measurement Consulting/training Reporting/analysis software Monitoring of positional changes Worldwide machine and diagnostic service Training Service Premium services for special industrial applications Roll alignment service with our innovative inertial laser gyroscope system Inspection of machine functions and evaluation of machine conditions Turbine alignment service Telemonitoring & telediagnosis Geometric measurements Training & consulting 4 Inventors of Laser Shaft Alignment Minor cause, major impact When shafts are well-aligned – with their axes in a straight line – machines run smoothly. Misalignment is the underlying cause for around 50% of all machine failures. The ensuing downtime, production losses and repairs can generate staggering costs. The answer to these problems is provided by laser-based measurement systems. Achievements we are proud of: EDDYTHERM® – First microprocessorcontrolled induction heating device OPTALIGN® – The world’s first laseroptical shaft alignment system ALI 2000 – First alignment computer for shaft alignment with an LCD graphic display SYSTEM 2 – First multifunctional measuring device with a softkey user interface, plug-in program and memory cards, and plug-in hardware modules First laser-optical 5-axial sensor that transmits results via a wireless IR system PERMALIGN® – First laser-optical coordinates measuring system for four degrees of freedom 1980 1985 1990 ROTALIGN® – First shaft alignme with patented Sweep measuring CENTRALIGN® – First measuring system for determining turbine housing alignment 1995 Alignment Systems Correct machine alignment is centrally important to smooth operations and high product quality. To ensure that machines are correctly positioned, and to correct those that are not, maintenance specialists around the world rely on our high precision laser measurement systems: during machine installation when commissioning machines after refitting As the inventor of laser-optical shaft alignment, PRÜFTECHNIK began leading the way in industrial maintenance more than 30 years ago. With 300 patents, we are persistently advancing our technological leadership. Through our daily dialog with customers, and innumerable assignments and discussions on location, we ensure that our future developments will continue to meet the increasing demands placed on modern maintenance. after repairs Our products and services: Shaft alignment Alignment of bores and bearing shells Laser systems now make it possible to objectively determine whether or not circular machine components – as they are used in turbines – are truly circular, and record the information for future use. Our laser-based, contactfree alignment systems measure to a precision of one thousandth of a millimeter. They calculate the correction values needed to achieve good alignment and record the alignment condition. Straightness and flatness measurement Roll parallelism measurement The straightness and flatness of surfaces, foundations, machine beds, tables and flanges can be measured down to 1/1000 of a millimeter. Monitoring of positional changes AlignmentCenter – the complete program Very small positional changes in machines can be recorded by a non-contacting method during operation. Machine operators use this information to initiate appropriate measures to compensate for shifts in position. OPTALIGN® PLUS – Laser-optical alignment system featuring very user-friendly operation for industrial environments nt system g method AlignmentCenter is the PC software common to all alignment systems. It can be used to clearly visualize the measurement results in graphic displays, and to record and archive the data. LEVALIGN® – Measuring/recording of surface flatness ALIGNMENT CENTER – PC software for millwrights and engineers PARALIGN® – First inertial parallelism measurement system for the alignment of rolls smartALIGN® – First shaft alignment system with joystick control 2000 5 Parallel rolls in paper machines are critical for paper quality. A new, patented procedure makes it possible for first time to quickly obtain precise information on the exact position of the rolls in a system. OPTALIGN® PLUS Series – Alignment ‘à la carte’ SHAFTALIGN® – Redefining the standard ROTALIGN® Ultra II – High end modular alignment system ROTALIGN® Ultra – The third generation INCLINEO® – Precision measurement of angles OPTALIGN® smart – Alignment system ALIGNEO® – Alignment system LEVALIGN® Ultra – Precision measurement and recording of flatness 2005 2010 6 The Condition Monitoring Experts Measuring systems for every requirement – specialists for every challenge Optimal production and smooth processes are only possible when machines run without vibration. Our applications can be found in the following areas: Tube mills Wire producers Tube manufacturers use NDT devices coupled with a variety of sensors for tube leakage testing. The testing method meets the requirements of recognized international standards. Special tube applications Wire drawing lines and recoiling plants employ eddy current testing together with rotating systems, which excel in the reliable detection of longitudinal defects and grooving. Bar mills Hot rolling mills 9 Producers of high quality steel bar rely on the latest NDT product, a magnetic flux leakage tester, for finding very small cracks and imperfections on black and bright steel bar. Special sensors and testers developed specifically for this field enable the inspection of thick-walled tubing. Formed parts manufacturers NDT testing equipment tests cold heading wire before it enters a cold former, without interrupting the production process. After forming, the defective parts are automatically sorted out. Water-cooled sensors are used in eddy current testing at temperatures of up to 1200 °C and at very high speeds to create flaw statistics and monitor the production process.
