ADORATION
“It is for us that, during eighteen hundred years, our
divine Savior has remained day and night on our
altars, that we may have recourse to Him in all our
needs; and nothing so much afflicts His divine Heart
as our ingratitude for such a favor, and our neglect to
visit Him and ask His blessing. If we knew how
profitable those visits are, we should be constantly
prostrate before the altar.” (BI. J. B. Marcellin Champagnat)

St. Richard Bereavement Support Group
Why Am I So Angry and What Can I Do About It?
Thursday, July 14 at 6:30 P.M. in the Mercy Room
Speaker: Pat Walden, Parishioner and St. Dominic Pastoral Ministry Director
The monthly St. Richard Bereavement Support Group will meet on Thursday, July 14 at 6:30 P.M. in the Mercy
Room. Pat Walden, our speaker, lost her husband several years ago. She will be speaking about something we’ve all
experienced or are dealing with now– anger at life or at the whole situation we are forced to deal with during and after
the loss of our loved ones.
This group is for all who are hurting from losing a loved one or for those who are trying to comfort and
understand the grief of a family member or friend. If you know someone who is bereaved, invite them! It is open to
all. If you have questions, or just need to talk to someone, call Suzie Cranston (601.982.5464), Linda Lalor
(601.853.8840) or Nancy McGhee (601.942.2078 or email [email protected]).
Pictorial Directory
If you are “officially” registered at St. Richard Church you should have received a flyer in the mail over the past
few days, if not it should be coming soon. This flyer has the step by step instructions on setting up your time to have
your picture taken. Fr. John wants 100% participation for this directory. This means WE NEED YOUR HELP! We
need every family (whether that is just you or several members of your family) to schedule an appointment to have
their picture taken. Our hope is that we fill up all those dates and we need to schedule additional dates. For each
group photographed, Lifetouch will provide a FREE 8x10 photo and a free Church directory. You will also have the
opportunity to purchase additional pictures if you choose to do so. This is a perfect opportunity to get an updated
picture of yourself and/or your family. We have scheduled four weeks for photos to be taken: July 19-23, August 2-4
and August 23-27, and September 8-10. Again, there are several times to select from for your convenience. Those who
have children or grandchildren going off to college make your appointment early! We have almost 1400 families here
at St. Richard and we are shooting for 100% participation! Please do your part and help us reach our goal.
St. Richard Football– Calling All Football Players in the 3RD-6TH Grades
If your child is interested in playing football for the St. Richard Cardinals, see the important information below!
The parish football team will start getting together for summer practices once or twice a week starting Mid-July. We
will be going over basic football and doing a little conditioning so that we can jump right in to fall practices. If your
child would like to play, email the following information to Josh Garner as soon as possible; child’s name, age, grade
and weight. Email to [email protected]. If you have any questions or would like more
information, call Josh Garner at 601.540.4666. Go Cardinals!
