New Choir compact disc:
ThefifthLoyolachoralcompactdiscwasreleasedonDecember8th.ItfeaturestheentireLoyolachoir
inalternationwiththeschoolscholainamedleyofmusicbothsacredandsecularwhichshowcases
thequalityofthechoirasanensemble.Atourlastinspection,thesingingatLoyolawasdescribedas
“exceptional”andhereisourmostuptodateexample(recordedinJuly2015)ofwhythisisso.Discs
canbepurchasedviatheschoolofficeat£10eachtocoverthecostsoftherecording.Mythanksand
congratulations to Mrs Brown and Mrs Thomas and also to Mr Gary Tong who masterminded the
manufactureofthediscsintimeforChristmas.

memberoftheaudienceinthefinalofStrictlyComeDancing.5.8millionhadappliedforticketsinthe
ballot;aschancewouldhaveitanothermemberoftheaudiencewasthemotherandsisterofLoyolapast

actingwasmatchedonlybythatoftheensemblesinging.JuniorEziheasMary,ZacGarfield,as
Joseph,ArtyClarkinasGabriel,CiaranBrett,DanielHalcrowandTheoOtohwoastheKingsand
JamaelLaniyanasHerodsangtheirsoloswithparticulargustobuttheentirecompany

seasonatWestminsterCathedralinaidiftheBarnardo'scharity.
December9th2015Lasteveningthechoirassembledtoleadtheannualcarolservicewhichcentred
onprayersforpeace.Congregationandchoiralikesangeloquentlytousherinformallytheseasonof
Christmas.Gastronomicallytheseasonalsowasanticipatedtodaywiththeserviceofanexcellent
ChristmasDinner.

Canterbury'sChurchinWoodfordfortheparishcelebrationoftheimportantpre‐Christmasfeastof
theImmaculateConceptionofMary.Thequalityofthesinging‐fromscholatosmallboyinReception
‐andofthereadingwasexceptionalasthepuretreblevoicesoftheboysvirtuallyliftedtheroofin
harmony.
December6th2015TheFeastofStNicholas(SantaClaus)coincidedwiththe2ndSundayofAdventas
theLoyolachoirassembledtocontributetotheEcumenicalAdventServiceatStThomasof
Canterbury'sinWoodfordGreen.ThankstothefollowingboyswholoyallygaveuptheirSunday

ClassChristmasPartiesdulytookplaceandFatherChristmastouredtheschoolmuchtothe
appreciationofallconcerned.
TheresultsoftheChristmasBazaarinNovemberwerereportedbyPTAsecretaryMrsGill
Martin:“WewouldliketoletyouallknowthattheFeteandDrawthisyearmaderecord
profit.Thefeteclearedaprofitof£3510(15%uponlastyear)andthedraw£2021(up
26%onlastyear).Soourfinalfigurewas£5531up19%totallyonlastChristmas.”
