The Delta County Great Start Parent Coalition meets monthly from 6-7:30pm at the
Delta-Schoolcraft ISD (DSISD) 2525 3rd Ave South, Escanaba
Our next meetings: Thursday, May 14th & June 11th
Our VISION is a community where all children come first by empowering parents with knowledge and skills.
Our MISSION is to create a team of parents, working together, to provide families with information,
a
supportive network, and the chance to make a difference in Delta County.
We work to ensure ALL children enter kindergarten safe, ready, and eager to learn.

Trial 9am outside at the UP Fairgrounds. Different
breeds of dogs test their ability to follow their handler’s
commands, run obstacle courses, etc.

contests, food, vendors, & dance.

Fun Fest 2015
Preparing for Fun Fest
It’s time to get moving
for a cause!
Family Fun Night
April was a busy month for our Coalition. We organized
Fun Fest which was attended by 300 children and their
families. We had a great time at Family Fun Night at the
Escanaba Library and we raised over $500 at Elmer’s
County Market for MSU Extension’s Welcome Newborns
program to distribute child abuse prevention materials.

The event is to promote wellness and get people

5/29/15 8th Annual 5k Memorial Day Run/
Walk in memory of Cpl. Joseph P. Micks.
Rapid River Lion's Club Pavilion. Registration
