St. Anne’s Circle is a
group for all mothers,
regardless of their
child's age. Our mission is to establish a support network for
women of our parish by offering a monthly
park day on the first Wednesday of every
month from 9-11 am, at Sea Canyon Park in
Dana Point, and occasional evenings out. It's
an opportunity where moms can talk and
kids can play, allowing friendships to form
within our faith community.

of Church history.

Know Your
Family History
Catholic Church History is
the story of our family. It is
the story of our ancestors
in the Faith – the heroic men and
women who shaped civilization while spreading the Gospel
throughout the world. Knowing this story is crucial to our
identity as Catholics. It is also inspiring. You can’t help but feel a
sense of familial pride as the story of the Church unfolds. You will
be able to answer objections with confidence when challenged by
those who misunderstand or try to discredit the Church and her
role in history.
Making Catholic Church History Come to Life.
Learning 2,000 years of history can be a daunting task – but
with Epic’s engaging narrative style and unique memory devices,
you will easily grasp this amazing story. Epic organizes Church
History into twelve easy to remember time periods clearly identifying the main events through the ages, and explaining how the
Popes, Martyrs, Saints and Doctors of the Church created western civilization.

Endow (Educating on the Nature and Dignity of Women)
is a Catholic study program that engages the intellect of women and
teenage girls to help them understand their God-given dignity and
respond to our culture’s desperate need for an authentic feminine
presence to transform every aspect of life and society.
Endow is dedicated to the promotion of a New Feminism based on the teachings of Pope John Paul II. When we
as women grow in the teachings of the Church and in the truth of Jesus Christ, our faith becomes more fully
defined, and so does our transforming influence in the family, the community, and society as a whole.
Endow attracts women from all walks of life who are at various places on their faith journey, as well as pre-teen
and teenage girls who are discovering their individual and spiritual identity. We have developed a comprehensive
program that is understandable and embraced by women and girls in the pew—because that is who we are too:
faithful wives, mothers, daughters, and career women. Endow offers small study groups as a primary means of
connecting women and girls in faith and friendship while exploring Catholic teachings with trained facilitators.

The contentious voices surrounding the issue of immigration in the U.S. reflect many sides and perspectives,
with no single voice comprising the entire story. Where
can we find common ground?
The Catholic Social Justice Ministry invites all those sincerely seeking truth and the Catholic perspective on
immigration issues to take part in a comprehensive eight
-week study to find that common ground and more
about ourselves, our values, our God and the millions of
people who are on the move in every part of the world.

What does it take for faith to grow in teens?
Souls who are willing to accompany them on
the journey. This is what we’re asking for, disciples who are willing to help other disciples
come to know Jesus Christ. You don’t need to
have it all together or know everything about
being Catholic. All it takes is a desire to serve
and grow in love of God. We need people to
help with Confirmation classes, hospitality ministry, music ministry, prayer teams and of course,
youth group. This will be a life changing experience for anyone willing to be involved in leading teens closer to Christ. If you are feeling a tug
on your heart to serve our young church, contact Laura Schuberg, the youth minister & Confirmation director.
Email: [email protected]. Phone: 949496-9719. Pray about it, you might be surprised
by what God says!
Women’s Silent Retreat
at the Sacred Heart Retreat House
October 9-11
Have you ever had a desire to get away for a few days and spend some
time alone with God? Have you ever wanted to go on a retreat or wondered what it would be like to experience one? Or just have a few days
rest to Renew your tired mind, body, and spirit or some time to refocus your life and priorities?
Jesus said to his disciples: "COME WAY by yourselves to secluded place and rest awhile.” MK 6:31
Come away and rest awhile, Sounds pretty easy, but the reality of putting into practice is another story.
A time of rest {particularly a retreat} gives us a God moment in the midst of our busy life to look at our past account for our present and to imagine a new and better future.
This is an invitation to you to join the women of St. Edward on our week-end silent retreat
in October we spend the week-end with the Carmelite Sisters at their beautiful retreat
grounds in Alhambra. Consider joining us...pray about it.

When was the last time you did
something special
alone together?
Most couples are busy with work and
family. It seems that every moment of
the day is planned and there’s never enough time to get
everything done.
When was the last time you had a weekend alone?
Consider planning a weekend away just the two of you,
to renew your marriage relationship. We have 2 weekends to choose from: Sept. 18-20 and Nov. 13-15. Both
these weekends start on Friday night and end on Sunday
afternoon. They will be located at an Orange County
hotel.
For more information, please contact Jim and Cheryl at
