The Music of Kimo Muraki
This incredibly gifted composer, producer, musician. multi-instrumentalist and performer from
Seattle graces the airwaves of WJKO with his musical projects Surrealized and Tiny Messengers.
Tiny Messengers is self-described as psych/folk
music on their Bandcamp page:
http://kimomuraki.com/ while Surrealized is referred to as “Electro-Space-Rock-Soul .” These
are far better adjectives than I could come up
with! All I could say is I totally dig this music!! It
has depth and soul uncommon in modern music.
Fabulous emotional feelings are conveyed
through music. These tunes are an aural journey
into the imagination of the composer and into
our souls. Incredibly addictive! This is art folks!
Kimo Muraki was born in Honolulu Hawaii in the 70s and moved to the mainland of the United States at an early age.
He is one of the Northwest’s most talented and well respected musicians / multi-instrumentalists. He is currently
teaching Voice, Ukulele, Banjo, Guitar, Songwriting/Composition, Theremin as well as introduction to Saxophone,
Mandolin, Sitar, Piano, and Music Theory at the Music Factory in the Madison Valley Music School!

Igor and the Red Elvises
The Red Elvises are one of the most interesting bands we have heard. Combining Rock
‘n’ Roll, Surf Music, European folk music they
deliver their message with a healthy dose of
humor. On top of it all, they can play! They are
all accomplished musicians which gives their
music that polished sound. They are a goodtime rockin’ band that shouldn’t be missed
live! And that shouldn’t be hard, they tour almost continuously. Check their website for
current dates. You won’t be sorry.
http://www.redelvises.com . The Red Elvises
are in heavy rotation on WJKO so tune in to
hear what they are all about. They’re Great!
They have been rocking since at least 1990s!

video charts. video charts. Today, Jake Aldridge is a professional singer in his own right, racking up over 100,000
plays online and working with some top names in the industry to write and produce music. Jake’s new single, In
The Clouds was produced by Sam Hadfield, who is a 23-year-old Hip Hop/R&B artist from Bristol. Sam has been behind some of Jake’s biggest tracks to date including Moonlight, Falling and Erotic.
In The Clouds has a clear beat that is foot-tappingly
catchy. The lyrics are almost playful, with “cheeky”
undertones – just right for the setting Jake wanted
for the tune. Kelly’s vocals also provide the perfect
accompaniment to Jake’s raps, making an all-round
modern RnB sound.
"The song is about encouraging people to be
more care free, to even go against the grain a
little bit. It's easy to let the struggles of life wear
you down and I wanted this track to be like a
breath of fresh air to people; a reminder that it's
ok to live life on the edge from time to time.”
Alien mother; earthly pimp ... 3 humalien are conceived. Papa
pimp dies in the heat of cruel alien passion. His humalien triplet
sons learn to play guitar, bass and drums. Taboo, Intellijamus and
Otto E. Roticize are adopted by Dr. Wonder Bred, the reculsive scientist who orchestrated the bizarre mating experiment which
brought them to life. The human scientist and keyboardist, Wonder Bred, together with his therapist/legendary Tuvan banjoist
Kimo corral the humalien stepsons' musical prowess into the Super
Sonic Soul Pimps with a mission to spread their peculiar musical
gospel to the remote nether regions of the globe and beyond.
3SP is an amazingly unique kind of band. The
music is clever, creative and fantastically performed. WJKO loves 3SP! Check them out! I
know I say that a lot but really check them out!
Do not fear! Ignorance is your locker buddy; panic your panacea.
Grab a mouthful of Super Sonic Soul Pimps and a slice of Wonder
Bred for your rocket ship has, at long last, arrived. Vrrrrroooom!!!

London Afrobeat Collective
“LAC plays regularly on WJKO. Their
blistering Afro-grooves are brimming
with powerful soul and inspiration!”
If, as the great Fela Kuti once said, ‘music is the
weapon’, then you’ll need to wear armour to
withstand the full sonic force of London Afrobeat
Collective (LAC) – this politicised party machine
are an incendiary live act who channel the spirit
of the Afrobeat founder via bass-heavy rhythms
guaranteed to make you move.
May 25, 2015, marks the release of ‘Food Chain’,
the brand new album from London Afrobeat Collective. Having been at the forefront of London’s
live music circuit and attracting a plethora of international bookings following their self titled
debut L.A.C, the 10 piece collective set out to
encapsulate the energy generated during their
live performances and combine this with a newly
evolved songwriting ability and refined musical

"My music is intended for close, even meditational listening, with elements of both adbhuta rasa
(wonderment, exhilaration) and shanta rasa (tranquility). Daedal aural constellations spring from
a passion for meticulously fired musical elements born from my evolving thought processes and
temperament. There is an expressive feel different from live musicians that may deter some, but
hopefully, you will give my medium an opportunity beyond that traditional expectation, and allow the import of the music to manifest." - Michael Robinson
