Maryland Black Mayors, Inc. will host their annual Fundraising Gala, MBM Honors, on Friday, May 6, 2016, at
Camelot by Martin’s in Upper Marlboro, MD at 7:00 p.m. This year’s theme is a Red Carpet Gala to celebrate
outstanding community leaders and raise the Capitol needed to fund academic scholarships for students in
the represented municipalities. The scholarship awards will be presented LIVE at the Gala.
Maryland Black Mayors, Inc. (MBM) endeavors to build, support, and encourage diverse, sustainable
communities that are free of all disparities and able to contribute fully to advancing the common good.
The organization collectively advances its diverse communities by enhancing the executive management
capability of elected African American leaders, influencing public policy, direct action and empowering
Maryland municipalities.
The MBM Scholarship Program is designed to provide financial awards to qualifying high school seniors or
first year undergraduate college students from the represented municipalities matriculating at an accredited
college, university, or technical institution.
MBM is requesting your support in the form of sponsorship. The MBM Honors Red Carpet Gala will include
red carpet and press, dinner, dancing, live entertainment, and much more to generate the funds needed to
support the organization’s mission goals and objectives. Your donation will help to provide access to higher
education for deserving students in the community.
The enclosed package outlines the available sponsorship levels. Sponsorships are due in by March 15, 2016.
