WEEKLY BULLETIN
February 8, 2012
Dear Northwoods Parents and Students,
As a classroom teacher, two of the most important dates on the school calendar were those scheduled for
Parent/Teacher Conferences. The opportunity to sit, individually, with my students and their parents offered a
wonderful opportunity to discuss progress, goals, needs, challenges, and, most importantly, to celebrate
successes. Attending conferences with your child gives you the opportunity to listen to their joys and
challenges in the various subject areas and to work as a team to ensure the best possible educational experience!
Some reminders about upcoming events at NCS include:
Apologetics this Thursday, 2/2, at 9am
Parent/Teacher Conferences this Friday, 2/10 – student attendance required at conference
Archdiocesan Science Fair, 6th – 8th Grade on Saturday, 2/11
Feast of St. Valentine on Tuesday, 2/14 – Kindergarten Feast Day
Gala “A Knight with the Saints”, 2/18
Remember to bring in your Box Tops – over the last six months, we made $620 – yeah!
Remember to leave any prayer requests at the front desk – the teacher’s prayer group meets weekly on
Monday afternoons.

Adolescent girls are probably some of the most difficult
people to figure out and connect with and their
natural development is highly influenced by the new
technological age. This exciting new conference will
cover: a closer look at the iGirl, viewing the adolescent
today in all the areas of her development and offering
ways to become part of the solution.
