FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S DESK…
GALA
LAUNCHES
$900,000
CAMPAIGN
The Ninth Annual
King’s Gala was a
resounding success
showcasing
the
King’s Music Program and the launch
of the $900,000 campaign to build the
3600 sq. ft. Music
Conservatory by September 2010. Led by the Director
of Music, Mr. Kevin Norbury, our musicians and
guest cellist, Andras Weber, were simply amazing. The
crowd of 300 was moved by the unforgettable solo
performance of Esther Jang, a Grade 10 student who
has the potential in music that Wayne Gretzky had in
hockey. She was amazing. The music theme was most
fitting considering the decision to proceed with the
construction of the Music Conservatory. With praise
to God, the Gala participants donated $176,000, including leadership gifts of $71,000 from the Board of
Directors.
It is the hope and prayer of the Board of Directors
that $900,000 will be donated for this timely addition
to the building. With continued strong growth in enrollment, we will soon need the classroom space.
While the corporate campaign is already underway,
soon we will approach individual King’s parents and
friends of King’s for a generous donation to make this
present dream a reality by September.
