on full throttle with a Jeep Tour at Parrot’s Landing, or a
ride at Mac Wood’s Dune Rides. If you are more of the
adventurous type, you can rent vehicles or take your own
out (as long as it has the proper vehicle registration) on the
Northern section of the dunes designated for ORVs only.
There are plenty of rental locations throughout the area
that can help assist you in getting the right vehicle for
your family. A complete list can be found on page 40-41 of
the travel guide.

family after breakfast and take a trip south to the New Era
area (approximately 15 mins from Silver Lake) and check
out Moo School at Country Dairy. You can learn about the
agriculture and farming operation of the area. You can
even add on a more comprehensive tour of the facility for a
nominal fee. After you wrap up at the dairy, head down
the road to the Lewis Farm Market & Petting Farm. Here
you can grab a bite to eat for lunch, and the kids will love
all of the live animals (especially Jeffrey, their Arabian
Camel), games and farm rides.
