Our New Welcome Station! At the top of the ramp, you will notice a new information stand next to Harbormaster’s Booth. It contains answers to many questions commonly asked by visitors. Here you will find marina information & notices, local bus schedules, transportation & service contact numbers, local business information, and FREE Marine Safety Guides and other publications. Throughout Whidbey Island Island Transit bus route & schedule info, along with other local information, is available from marina staff & is posted at the entry to the pier. The Port of South Whidbey also invites you to help others with non-perishable food donations which are taken to Good Cheer, the food bank serving South Whidbey. South Whidbey Harbor is a Washington State Clean Marina Prevent Spills & Recycle! Ask the harbormaster for your free spill prevention kit during your visit in June! ….while supplies last. Upcoming Events… Saturday, June 4th The Seattle Men’s Chorus is coming to Langley on Saturday, June 4, 7:00 pm, at the South Whidbey High School Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $25. The concert entitled "Heartthrobs" will benefit CADA (Citizens Against Domestic & Sexual Abuse). Get ready to scream and faint with excitement as Seattle Men's Chorus thrills fans of all generations with a musical look at America's singing heartthrobs-AKA Boy Bands! The marina offers free WIFI – Ask for your Log-in information when registering for moorage. 15th Annual Chum Run The 15th Annual Chum Run is on Sunday, June 5, 2011, at 10am. Folks of all ages are invited to enjoy a 5K run or walk. Younger kids are invited to participate in the “Fry Run”. Individual competitions and team costume contest. Participants receive a classic and classy Chum Run shirt (shirt available on a first-come, first-served basis). Registration opens at 9AM. Fee: $30 day of race for adults. $5 discount for students 18 & under. Saturday, June 25th Looking for activities? The Seattle Men’s Chorus 16th Whidbey Island Garden Tour For the Whidbey Island Garden Tour 2011 on Saturday, June 25, 2011 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, garden lovers are invited to explore five of Whidbey Island’s unique, beautiful residential gardens, some never before open to the public. Tickets at $20 each go on sale April 1 via the website: www.wigt.org. For more information contact Penny Harger at [email protected] Marina Reservations… The South Whidbey Harbor at Langley is becoming a popular destination for boating clubs from around Puget Sound. Since we started accepting group reservations up to one year in advance, our staff has assisted over 16 organizations with event planning including ground transportation, local event and dining reservations, and special group activities such as horseback riding, theater tickets and glass blowing.
