Elwood Pembleton Co-Founder of our club in 1978.
In 1987 he was made a life time honourary member.
Inducted into the Ontario Horseshoe Hall of Fame in 2000.
Received the 2003 City of Brampton Citizen Award for 25
years of Volunteer Community Service.
Won the Glen Barton Award in 2004
He was the driving force for 30 years, served as President,
Vice-President, Executive Committee, Club Advisor &
Goodwill Ambassador

It was a good turnout, but we are always looking for more. The 34 that played on a hot and humid day were glad
it finished around 1:30 pm and head home to jump in the pool. Tournament Director John Quackenbush had
everything under control and the 5 divisions were well matched as the results above indicate, many decided by
points. Ken Condie was at his usual position on the computer supplying John with the information, Jim Visser
assisting with the players cards. Once again Brett Meiners kept the burgers coming to a hungry bunch of
horseshoe players, with the condiments prepared by Nita Condie. Thanks to all that helped before and after.
