PRESS RELEASE: June 2015
JCB Dancing Digger to Perform at 2015 Empire Farm Days
Seneca Falls, NY. The 2015 Empire Farm Days will feature daily performances by one
of the world famous JCB Dancing Diggers, a team of expert operators showcasing the
capabilities of JCB heavy equipment through choreographed ‘dance’ performances set
to contemporary music.
During the performances, the JCB heavy machinery comes to life, moving with splitsecond precision and using its hydraulics to lift the digger off the ground in a
‘handstand.’ Empire Farm Days attendees will see an 8-ton, high-speed JCB backhoe
loader perform daily, at the top of the hour from 10am through 3pm on Tuesday, August
11 and Wednesday, August 12, and top of the hour from 10am through 2pm on
Thursday, August 13, at Rodman Lott and Son Farms in Seneca Falls.
‘This JCB Dancing Digger will provide entertainment while demonstrating the incredible
power and versatility of the equipment,’ said Ryan Curtis, Field Sales Manager at Liftech
JCB, East Syracuse, NY, which is sponsoring the performances. “Empire Farm Days
visitors can see first-hand the many capabilities of JCB heavy machinery, from lifting and
pulling to digging and rolling, in a unique and fun way that is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.’
JCB founder Joseph Cyril Bamford developed the idea of the Dancing Diggers more
than 40 years ago as a new and creative technique for demonstrating the power of his
equipment, but he could not have predicted the phenomenon it is today. The Dancing
Diggers have garnered significant attention over the years, and have performed for
heads of state and the Queen of England.
