OASIS Workshop:
The OASIS Workshop on Food and Water Safety will take place on the 21st of April in Berlin
Adlershof (Forum Adlershof), one of the most successful high-tech locations in Germany.
With more than 400 companies and ten non-university research institutes the Adlershof
Science and Technology Park focuses on the fields of Photonics, Biotechnology and Environment, Renewable Energies and Photovoltaics, Microsystems and Materials and Analytics.
The Berlin Workshop will focus on how optical technologies can enhance and optimize
food and water safety and will feature actors from SMEs and research institutes from the
Berlin-Brandenburg region and the European Union.
The workshop aims to strengthen the communication between these actors to bring forth
where innovations are needed and where new collaborations can be formed.
How to get there and accommodations:
Berlin features two airports: Tegel airport (TXL) and Schönefeld airport (SXF). While Tegel
is located in Berlin‘s northwest, Schönefeld is in the southeast of Berlin - very close to Adlershof. Connections to the city center or Adlershof are found on the website of the Berliner
Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG). The Workshop location itself, Forum Adlershof, is located within a
7 min walk from S-Bahnhof/S-trainstation Adlershof.
Rooms (90 € per night with breakfast included) at Dorint Hotel Adlershof (3 min walk to
workshop venue) have been reserved and can be booked with the keyword OASIS.
If lodging in the city center is preferred, recommandable hotels are the Motel One Alexanderplatz and Park Inn by Radisson Berlin Alexanderplatz. Both are indicated in the map
below.
