season`s greetings - happy new year
J. MAYER H. would like to thank all of our partners and friends for the
successful collaborations and a fantastic 2014, during which we were able to
realize many national and international projects with great enthusiasm and
success. We presented a master-plan for a creative campus in ShekouShenzen, China which will move towards an innovative initiative of
co-designing amongst a group of 4 architects. In Berlin, we were named
winner of the invited competition, Volt Berlin, a new concept mall for lifestyle,
brands and urban experience near Berlin's Alexanderplatz, with construction
beginning in 2015. This year in Duesseldorf, the concrete construction of FOM
University has already been completed, and the mixed-use high-rise Rhein
740 located directly on the river Rhine is quickly moving towards construction
phase. In 2014, our sculptures and installations were presented at the
Antarctic Pavilion during La Biennale di Venezia, at Hammer at Du Moulin
Pop-up and How Soon is Now at Galerie Judin in Berlin. We presented our
work with a solo exhibition at the 2014 Beijing Design Week, realized the Nap
Gap installation for the Istanbul Design Biennial, and Retrato Robot at
Lugadero in Sevilla. We were part of numerous group shows like The
Brancusi Effect at Kunsthalle Wien and Blueprint at Amersfoort and Art

Belgium which we realized in a team with a2o-architecten and Lens°Ass from
Hasselt has just been nominated for the 2015 European Union Prize for
