S. M. F. ON THE MOVE:
Group Sp onsors Chapel Hour
Among four speakers participating in
yesterday's chapel program for Student
Missions Fellowship was Junior Abed
Ismail, who explained to the students a
little more of the significance of the
work of the Fearnows in Arabia, to whom
S.M.F. is planning to contribute the
proceeds of their annual project.
According to President Paul Emerson (who
is representing Covenant as one of six
members of an informal National S tM.F.
steering committee formed at Urbana),
the group has set as this year's goal
$500.00, to be specifically set aside
for the McMahan Memorial Hospital to.
be located in Ras al Khaima.
Funds are now being unofficially
solicited from student sources, but
detailed methods for raising money have
not yet been decided upon. A deadline
has not yet been selected, but secretary
Roberta Kennedy estimated the project
would have to be completed by April.

A schedule is now being drawn up for
this fall, and will include at least
eight games with other college teams.

At least that's how one Chattanooga

and the scores close. Even though the
Scots lost, their boosters returned

that we're behind them all the way.
They may have lost Tuesday night, but
they were looking good!
People Are Odd
People are odd, Agnes thought to herself.
They just don't seem to care about other
people's feelings. All they care about
is how many rumors and stories they can
learn about their classmates to tell
others. It seems to me... Oh, dear!
There's that nosy Marsha Hill.
"Hi, Marsh."
"'Lo, Agnes.
How are ya?"
"Okay, I s'pose,
"Well, you know my roomate, Carolyn?
The other day she overheard a couple of
students..."
Here we go! This girl is a big gossip.
I wish she wouldn't talk so much about
others. She acts like she is so
perfect...Hey, that's interesting!!
Well, what happened
"Then they told..."
My, my, Joe sure knew what he was talking
about when he said that poor Marsha was
having spiritual problems in this area.
She's even got the story wrong.
"That's not what I heard, Marsh.
heard they went every night!"
What a nerve! As if I would ever
think of repeating sueh trash. Why,
some of what she said was downright
slanderous. She could be sued. Boy,
if she were a prudent Christian, she'd
be on her guard against...Hey, there's
Ginny.
"Yoo hoo, Gin!"
"Hi, Agnes.
lately?"
What have you been doing
"Well, I was just talking to that
Marsha Hill, and you'd never believe
the stories she's been spreading."
"Is that so!"
What's new?"
"Were they really?
then?"
^
"Bye, Agnes. Remember, everything
I've told you is in the very strict
est confidence."

"Well, maybe you're right. After all, I
got my story from Carolyn, who probably
is involved in the whole thing. Come
to think of i t . .."
Gossip, gossip, gossip! I have got to
get my shopping done and this stupid girl
keeps running off at the mouth. Phew!
I think she's finally finished.
"Yes, she got her latest one from her
roonmate, Carolyn, who overheard a
large group of students..."
